SriLanka Are Set To Get A Big Total
After the 131 run partnership for the 4th wicket between K.Sangakara and T.Dilshan SriLanka are in commanding position in the match as they have scored 214/4 in 40 overs and still 10 overs remaining in the SriLankan innings. Dalrymple got his 1st ODI wiclet as he bowled T.Dilshan but the dangerman K.Sangakara is still playing on 82 off 109 ball with 10 fours. Now these are ominous signs for England as Sangakara is well set and R.Arnold is there in the middle and Vaas still to come. They are real big hitters of the ball and England bowlers need to pick up their wickets and restrict SriLanka somewhere around 260-270.
Due to the slowness of the wicket both the batsmen were facing a few problems to get bat on the ball .There were some occasions where England were so close to get wickets .SriLankan should consider themselves lucky here. In the 32nd over as he tried to pull the short ball but due to lack of bounce Sangakara missed that completely and it ball also missed the top of the offstump .This was the closest chance for England to send Sangakara back to the pavilion. Dilshan was also lucky when he edged one but it was just wide of the fielder .

Finally K.Sangakara and T.Dilshan got to a 100 run partnership for the 4th wicket. Both the batsmen played sensibly and were facing difficulties early in their innings but they concentrated hard and once they got their eye in they just went on to score more. SriLanka needed such big partnership after they lost their 1st 3 wickets for 79 runs .Now they both need to get going again and get SriLanka near 300 .

England finally managed to break this partnership as J.Dalrymple bowled Dilshan in his 9th over . Dalrymple got some more spin on the ball and Dilshan trying to run it for a single and missed that due to the turn that Dalrymple got. Dilshan scored scored 47 runs off 67 balls with 3 boundaries.Both the batsmen scored a partnership of 131 runs for the 4th wicket.
