Pakistan v SriLanka , Live from Jaipur​

David Gower:Hello and welcome to the 2nd match of Group B of the Champions Trophy 2006, between Pakistan and SriLanka the two teams of the subcontinent and both are teams know the Indian conditions nicely also they have played lots of cricket here .Both the team are the strongest contenders for winning the Champions Trophy and are almost the same strength with their batting , bowling and fielding and are in their best form currently. Pakistan have played some wonderful cricket before coming in this series also they played well in England in both tests and ODI's but they have a new captain and no Inzi this time in the tournament and Younis Khan will lead the side while SriLanka have qualified from the qualifying stages with 100% winning success and their key players are in good touch too.. Lets take a look at the match conditions and toss for todays match.

Match Conditions​

M.Atherton :The conditions are excellent for cricket fast outfield and good pitch but the heat will be unbearable as the game progresses. The pitch is good one to bat on and ball will come nicely on the bat. There wwill be some help for the spinners as well and then it will be difficult to bat on in the 2nd innings. Surely team winning the toss will bat 1st

The Toss​

Ian Botham :SriLanka have won the toss and Jayawardena has decided to batl first . Good toss to win and certainly SriLanka will try to score maximum runs in their 50 overs and that will put lots of pressure on Pakistan and now SriLanka have a good chance to win this one but Pakistan should take early breakthroughs .Lets see who win this one

SriLanka Innings
After winning the toss SriLanka proved that the pitch is batting friendly with both the openers went on pilling the runs and gave a good start to the SriLankan innings . U.Tharanga and S.Jayasurya provided them with the perfect start they needed and certainly Pakistanis were facing the lack of experience in bowling as they were missing Akthar and Asif. Finally Ifthikar Anjum provided the breakthrough for Pakistan as Tharanga was caught nicely in the deep by Rana Naveed . This certainly gave Pakistanis a chance to get few more wickets as the captain M.Jayawardena took strike.

But things chance drastically after that . Jayawardena and Jayasurya started to build a good partnership between them and now runs were coming easily for them .Both the batsmen were looking dangerou by now and were picking up easy runs . Pakistan bolwers lacked the aggression and SriLanka were on top at this stage. Jayasurya scored a quickfire 84 while M.Jayawardena scored a good 88 .. Jayasurya continued his good form and now he looks unstopable in this tournament while Jayawardena plaed a captains knock today .In the end Sangakkara, Atapattu and Dilshan chipped in with some valuable runs and Srilanka scored a marvelous 295 in their 50 overs and now thing will be very difficult for Pakistan.

Pakistan Innings
All Pakistan needed was a good start by their top order batsmen and then in the end there were batsmen like Afridi and Razzaq to blast in the end. Hafeez and I.Farfat provided Pakistan will a great start and within no time Pakistan reached their 100 inside 20 overs. Both the openers made good use of the powerplays and scored a quicker rate and now the stage was set for them to get on with this rate to reach the total. But Fernando ruined the party for Pakistan as he got 2 quick wickets and both the openers were back in the pavilion. Hafeez scored 41 while Farhat scored a good 50 . Soon Dilshan got the wicket of Yousuf and Murali picked up the most important wicket of Afridi . Now the match was perfectly in SriLanka's hands but still Razaaq was there and still Paksitan had a chance to win this one. Jayasurya was given the ball in the depth and the experience counted here. Jayasurya knocked down the Pakistani tail by picking up 4 wickets .Jayasurya was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up 4 wickets in 6 overs and Srilanka won it comfiortably in the end as Pakistan were bowled out for 254.

Man of the match was not hard to pick this time as it went to Sanath Jayasurya for his good allround performance with bat and ball picking up 4 wickets and scoring 84 runs .

i did the backgrounds with few brushes .....there are different types of brushes available with different designs ..... download and put it in ur photoshop folder....its easy to work with those brushes
