Loving The Third Man's Chat with David Gower and Ian Botham. Some slack bowling by Murali, I expected him to have a whole heap of dots in one place.
David Lloyd, Michael Holding, Nasser Hussain and Michael Atherton are also there :D

I really like the presentation,my favorite screen was the dart fish where that ball went for six.The match seems slighly in favour of England but things may easily change.
Match can change its direction because the ball is coming nicely on the bat now as we saw in the last 5 overs of the match so wickets will be hard to comeby.

I hadn't seen this story before mate but it's a good one. Makes me wish i was half decent at using photoshop. Keep up the good work mate.

This thread is awesome! The presentation is better than Sky itself! Dissapointed with the lack of interactive menus though Gamerkid! :p

This story should be rated a 7 out of 5. That is how good it is.

:cheers,
Leftie

SriLanka With An Aggressive Start

SriLanka started their run chase in a aggressive manner getting almost 8 runs per over in the first five overs.Upul Tharanga started well and was playing his shots positively. There was no room for error for the England bowlers as the ball was coming nicely on the bat and also the there was not lot of pace in the wicket.SriLankan's found it too easy to get Harmison's shot balls away and also when he pitched it near the batsmen he was smashed for runs.
Harmison was hit for 3 boundaries in his 1st over by Tharanga.
Tharanga's boundaries in the first over:

Sajid Mahmood shared the new ball with Harmison and bowled a beautiful line and length and troubled S.Jayasurya .He gave away just 3 runs in his 1st over. But Harmison went away for more runs in his 2nd over.Tharanga and Jayasurya were getting easy boundaries off Harmison's bowling. Harmison went for 23 runs in his first 2 overs.
Tharanga and Jayasurya playing aggressively:

Meanwhile Sajid Mahmood was bowling good line and was pitching the ball on and just outside the offstump of the two left handers. The batsmen were not getting any room to play their shots but Tharanga got a boundary on the last ball of his 2nd over.Jayasurya was kept quite for sometime.
Sajid Mahmood's pichmap for 1st 2 overs :

A.Strauss was under pressure early on in the match and got Harmison out of the attack and brought L.Plunkett in . L.Plunkett was looking promising with the ball and was mixing his deliveries very well. He bowled the slower balls effectively and almost got the wicket of Jayasurya twice in his over.Jayasurya went for the big shot over the point but failed to connect that properly and fell just short of the Third Man.He gave away just 2 runs in his 1st 5 balls.
Plunkett's 1st over:

Jayasurya was lucky to survive the last ball of Plunkett's over as the ball went in the air in the cover region and there was a chance of catch for the fielder.Plunkett bowled a slower one outside the offstump and Jayasurya went for the cover drive which was a bit in the air and Ed Joyce made a good diving attempt to take that catch but the ball was just out of his reach.
Ed Joyce's diving attempt for the catch(Dartfish):

SrLanka are going along nicely after 5 overs .England bowlers need to strike here and break this partnership but SriLanka has a good batting line up with K.Sangakara and M.Jayawardena still to follow.

SriLanka : 39/0 (5 overs)
U.Tharanga 28*(20)
S.Jayasurya: 11*(10)

S.Mahmood 2-0-10-0
SriLanka still require 120 to win in 15 overs at 8.0 runs per over

good start by SL!!! I think they are comfortable with the start!!!

Also nice work with dart fish!!! But it seems like Kumble fielding in the boundary ( as he dives before the ball reaches him, just joking :D )!!!

:cheers
