So Balotelli throws a dart at a youth player - which could've caused a severe injury and the FA says nothing. Cole fires at someone with an airgun - accidentally or not, he shouldn't be jacking around with an airgun - again potentially causing a severe injury - the FA says nothing. Rooney swears - which is a case of sticks and stones - after getting his first hattrick for ages and they give him a two match ban. The FA are morons. What are they going to do now when someone else swears? What about the constant swearing that goes on - which you don't need to be a lip reading expert to see? Let's see what the FA do next time - with a lower profile player.

Ancelotti last night questioned the ref's courage. That's 'questioning the ref's integrity' - let's see if he gets a five match ban - of course he won't - he's got nothing to do with Man Utd.

It won't make any difference. We can take Fulham at Old Trafford without Rooney and we can beat the 'noisy neighbours' without him as well.

At least we're likely to win at least one trophy this year, unlike Chelsea. :lol :lol

My guess - internal matters of the club.

Yes, footballers swear on the pitch but the reason why Rooney got the ban was because of the way he went to the camera and swore at it. There is a difference between swearing in play and going in front of the camera and swearing into it.

Anyway, this is just somewhat hilarious. :lol

PFA Candidates: Charlie Adam, Gareth Bale, Samir Nasri, Scott Parker, Carlos Tevez, Rafael Van der Vaart, Nemanja Vidic.

PFA Young player candidates:
Gareth Bale, Seamus Coleman, Joe Hart, Javier Hernandez, Nani, Samir Nasri, Jack Wilshere.

Bale and Nasri lead nominations | Sky Sports | Football | Premier League | News

What a bullshit list. How can Modric and Nani be overlooked? Bale is the favourite to win it, even though he shouldn't even be nominated. He's been average in the league, it's the champions league where he's excelled. Out of those lot I'd like Scott Parker to win it, but my list would be:

Nemanja Vidic, Vincent Kompany, Scott Parker, Luka Modric, Nani, Samir Nasri/David Silva, Carlos Tevez.

IMO, only Tevez, Adam and Parker deserves to be in the running for Player of the Year award as they have been brilliant for their respective clubs this season. Without them, City, Blackpool and West Ham would arguably be in worse state than they are now. The rest are just not consistent enough. Nasri looked to have gone off the boil in recent months. Bale only really shined in those games against Inter and looks like Van der Vaart is only in the list because of the number of goal he scored when he first came. :facepalm

The real problem I have with these awards is that they shouldn't nominate the same player for two different categories. It's absurd that the same player are listed in both categories. Rooney was in both last year and this year, Bale and Nasri are in both! Furthermore, they need to set a better age limit for the Young Player Of The Year award. Rooney was 25 last year and he was nominated. Nani is 25 this year and he is in the list!

Is Villas Boas the next Special One? - ESPN

Is it only a matter of time before we see him in the Premier League? He has certainly done a very fine job with Porto this season, winning the league title with 5 games to spare and dropped only 4 points all season!

Assuming if he's still at Porto next season, it will be interesting to see how he fares in the Champions League with them.

Definitely one to keep an eye on for sure.

Its just getting worse for us now . Gerrard has massively let us down this season and i really hope we fail to qualify for the Europa League as that competition is nothing but sh1t imo . Rather focus well on the league .

A scrappy goal and a scrappy win. I couldn't care less about that at this stage of the season as the most vital thing is the 3 points!

Now, a favour from Liverpool on Monday would be sweet. :p

Arsenal clearout - Arshavin, Clichy and Bendtner are Gonners | Mail Online

The Arsenal Supporters' Trust expressed their 'considerable disappointment' at recent results but Wenger hit back, saying: 'We are second in the league. Is that a disaster for you?
'There are teams who invest 10 times more than us, one player cost more than the whole team and they are behind us. I don't understand the way people think. Where is the common sense?
'Some of the clubs behind us have done nothing for 20 years, yet suddenly they get a lot of praise. I don't understand. 'To be consistent at the top level is the most difficult thing in our job. We have been in the Champions League for 15 years and there are only two clubs who have done that in this country - us and Manchester United.
'The way we are doing things is right. If I look at this team I'm proud of them, proud of the attitude of the players and the football we play.'

Would have to agree with Wenger here.

Arsene Wenger is running out of reasons to defend himself already IMO. Wanting to prove that he is doing the right thing by comparing themselves to Chelsea, City and/or Spurs is utterly nonsense. Does he think that the fans care about that?

What they want to see is their team winning trophies on a consistent basis but unfortunately, they have not won one for 6 years already! Almost every year, Arsenal will get themselves into terrific positions to win trophies but everytime, they fell short. That is what the fans are not happy about.

If Wenger is going to be happy with his team finishing ahead of Chelsea and City, then be my guest because at the end of the day, nobody is going to remember who finishes in 2nd, 3rd etc. People will only remember who wins the trophy!
