With Mancini deploying 4-4-2 for much of the game, City looked toothless and clueless throughout the game and probably even more so after Tevez went off injured. I would expect Mancini to revert back to his more defensive lineup this weekend.

Other than that, Liverpool have pretty much done us and Spurs a favor by beating City. Good performance from Liverpool all around I have to say and Flanagan had a solid game in his first debut.

Now, hoping for Liverpool to draw at the Emirates this weekend. Don't win and don't lose. :p

And I just saw this too.

Is that a major surprise especially when after they lost Tevez and playing away from home?
Probably not but still hilarious nonetheless. Especially seeing Tevez's replacement Balotelli be replaced himself.

More talented England youngsters on show in Spearing & Flanagan. After the world cup debacle who would have so much impressive young Englishmen on show this season.

Spearing should be in the England under-21 squad right now.

Arsene Wenger is running out of reasons to defend himself already IMO. Wanting to prove that he is doing the right thing by comparing themselves to Chelsea, City and/or Spurs is utterly nonsense. Does he think that the fans care about that?

What they want to see is their team winning trophies on a consistent basis but unfortunately, they have not won one for 6 years already! Almost every year, Arsenal will get themselves into terrific positions to win trophies but everytime, they fell short. That is what the fans are not happy about.

If Wenger is going to be happy with his team finishing ahead of Chelsea and City, then be my guest because at the end of the day, nobody is going to remember who finishes in 2nd, 3rd etc. People will only remember who wins the trophy!

Well when the UEFA Financial rules law comes into effect, Arsenal will certainly be in a better position that City & Chelsea - so in that sense he has a point ha.

Yes for sure - football is a result business & at the end of the day, thats really all the matters. In the last 6 seasons i would say Arsenal genuinely weren't good enough to win - thats why they threw away a few good season starts. This season i think they have the right squad to do damage going forward (dont know what happened in that Carling Cup final).

Fact is the Gunners have been one of the more consistent clubs in Europe in the last 15 years & Wenger IMO is the best man to continue leading them, since i cant think of too many other coaches who could replace him & do better. But admittedly if by next season they dont win some major trophy (FA Cup, BPL, CL) his position will become indefensible.

Good god , now we can definitely get rid off Johnson in the summer for we have 2 super talents in Kelly and Flanagan ;)

Amazing night there , though i have pretty much given up on this season and looking forward to the summer :D . If only had we won at West Brom would we have stood a great chance to finish inside the top 4 . And guess what , Hodgson won 5 points from 11 away games for Pool , while he has already won 7 points from 3 away games for Brom , so Liverpool only have themselves to blame here . Hodgson basically din have the support of the crowd , players , Kenny himself din seem to support him (though Kenny's appointment was what i wanted and got :p) .

Regarding Enrique's signing , wasn't he dubbed the worst defender in BPL a couple of seasons back ?? :facepalm

Now, a favour from Liverpool on Monday would be sweet. :p

There you go ... ;)

Man , you definitely are greedy , do you want United to win the title with ease ?? :p

True. Can't really argue with that.

We all know that Wenger's policy of nurturing the younger players and introduce them into the first team action. There is nothing wrong with that but what their fans are crying out for is 2-3 quality and experience signings. I know Wenger dislikes the idea of spending big like City or us but nobody is asking him to spend over 50 or even 100 million on players every season. The fans just want him for once, to spend a decent amount of money on some players to add some steel and toughness into the team.

None of the players in the current squad are mentally strong enough particularly when the going gets tough at the business end of the season. Hence, they always fell short in the second half of the previous seasons. Furthermore, only Clichy and now Lehmann have won trophies in England while the rest have not.

Fact is the Gunners have been one of the more consistent clubs in Europe in the last 15 years & Wenger IMO is the best man to continue leading them, since i cant think of too many other coaches who could replace him & do better. If Arsenal fans want to continue seeing their team play football like the way they are now, then Pep Guardiola might be the right man to replace Wenger. Owen Coyle is also probably a good candidate to replace him as well.

There is a slim chance for that to happen. Tottenham still have to play us, Arsenal, City and Liverpool. On the other hand, City have to play Spurs, Bolton and Everton. But that would also mean you have to win all of your remaining games to stand any chance. Tough but a possibility.

And guess what , Hodgson won 5 points from 11 away games for Pool , while he has already won 7 points from 3 away games for Brom , so Liverpool only have themselves to blame here . Change of heart towards Roy? :lol

Obviously not but realistically, the title is pretty much out of our reach while the second place is not.

59 points after 32 games last year. ?154.75m spent in the summer.

56 points after 32 games this year.

That pretty much sums up City this season. :facepalm

Wow City were awful. Without De Jong the midfield was abysmal. I don't understand why Balotelli was brought on for Tevez when Dzeko was clearly isolated and the midfield was being completely over-ran. And Dzeko, he was terrible. He looks totally out of place, his role just isn't for him and tbh he seems to have given up already. Mancini got it all wrong.

Enrique has been fantastic for Newcastle this season. Really solid left back and a great signing if true.

Yeh the De Gea story is true, hardly an exclusive. Utd and Arsenal bid for him, Utd's offer was accepted and it's just down to personal terms with De Gea.

Tbh I would've preferred an older, more experienced keeper. Neuer for me is one of the best keepers in the world. De Gea is talented, yes, but he's young and fragile. Would much rather have someone who's the finished product and be reliable rather than a bit of a hit and miss.

Neuer would've been my first choice too but looks like he's going to Bayern.
