I wasn't watching the game when it happened. Was it after a tackle or physical interaction with another player? Or was it completely random and unexpected?

I hope he's okay. From the sound of things, it doesn't look like he will be, but I hope I'm wrong.

Jon Champion reeling off all the players he can remember dying is highly insensitive and then saying he thinks he's a goner is pretty horrible from my point of view.

He collapsed Shravi out of the blue in the middle of the pitch.

As well as the constant self-patting on the back that the studio seems desperate to do in regards to everyone coming together. We're all human beings etc...

It's difficult though, you don't plan for this as a commentator.

This brings back memories of the big number 23, Marc-Vivien Fo?.

I really hope we don't end up with the same outcome.

That is indeed super news. It just goes to show, doesn't it - no matter how fit you are, that sort of thing can happen at any time. Quite scary, really.
Undiagnosed heart defects do happen - someone in the rugby league team when I was at school had one (he had open-heart surgery - aged 16-17 - and survived last I heard) - but they are incredibly rare. There is a more common cause of heart disease in fit young sportspeople, but I'm not going there right now...:(

Going to Wembley again and I think Liverpool can beat Sunderland/Everton. As for the actual match, Gerrard played well in a slightly deeper role. Spearing was tireless and industrious as ever. Suarez was good. Maxi was perhaps the only disappointment in that he was fairly anonymous throughout. Another good performance by Kelly. Despite Johnson having a good season, I still think Kelly should be first choice. Also, Liverpool have started 9 matches without Charlie adam. W-8 L-1.

That's because Adam is cack, all he does is kick people and play average balls forward.

Yeah, definitely. The only justification for playing him is that his left foot gives something else, but he isn't good enough to play on that alone. Aquilani should never have been sent on loan. I wonder how different this season would have been if we still had Aquilani and Cole (not including Meireles because he handed in a transfer request and would have left either way). Probably not too different since our problem has been finishing chance, not creating them, but still.

Obviously it's impossible to say how Cole would have done without the game time he got at Lille, but certainly the amount of drawn games this year suggest that someone like Cole could have been the difference between another 6-8 points worth in those sorts of games. Likewise Aquilani has to be better than Adam haha (although Adam fits Dalgish's rather limited tactical system of sitting back, kicking teams, and relying on Suarez to not hit the woodwork).
