Well, that was fun. Great game to watch - but City were always going to win it once they'd equalised (what a wonderful substitution by Di Matteo that was - Essien did nothing apart from give away that penalty!).
Don't put anything into Smith's commentary going on about turning points, bouncing back etc. City have been great at home all year - winning this game didn't surprise me. No - home wins mean nothing. Go to Stoke, Norwich, Newcastle, Arsenal and come away with wins then I'll agree with 'turning points and bouncing back'.
Could easily come down to the Derby match - but there are still numerous tough games for City before then. Having said that, if it had been Utd playing tonight at City, I think the result would've been somewhat different. Good news for Chelsea is Torres continues to look to be improving. I thought Drogba was a bit greedy tonight - there were a couple of times where the shot wasn't the best option.
We have Blackburn away - which could be tricky - and Sunderland away as well, but outside of those two I don't see us dropping many points.
Bet any City fans that destroyed their Tevez shirts that day when Utd fans were binning them as well feel like right muppets now. How much does a Tevez printed replica shirt cost - ?40? ?50? You should always hold onto such things and not be given to moments of taking rash action - you never know how much they could fetch on Ebay, or similar sites in the future.
