That was the first game where Scholes has played this season that Utd haven't dominated. Good to see Rooney finally find some form but the defence was just embarrassing and Utd were waaay too open. Ridiculous that Utd have blown the lead at the top. Really not confident anymore.

Utd need Scholes to be brilliant against City and he's clearly starting to get tired.

I'd still expect Utd to draw at least at the Etihad and I can also see City dropping points against Newcastle.
Also it's almost time for my end of season rant about how the league cup winners shouldn't get a Europa League spot.

I'm not sure how it will go but I'm hoping City will clinch it (not because I want City to win, but because I don't want United to). Also, 2 points now. Really hope we can overturn that deficit to restore some pride.

Speaking as a Liverpool-hater they actually looked pretty good on MOTD tonight. Solid in defence and created a load of chances just lacking that Jelavic-type player to stick it in the net.
Having knocked us out the cup the very least you can have the decency to do is finish below us in the league. It's not like there's a European space up for grabs.

Possession %: 63.3-36.7 | Shots: 30-9 | On Target: 6-3 | Passes: 565-333 | Accuracy%: 84-72 | Duels Won: 62-56

It's getting frustrating now. Suarez was amazing today. The defenders didn't know what to do. Henderson was also pretty impressive in a central role. I don't really know what to make of these performances at home. They are doing almost everything right. As you said, a poacher/great finisher is really needed at Anfield next season.

What have you made of Jose Enrique, Shravi? Do you feel he's our permanent solution to the LB position over the next few years? Asking this cos I feel he's atrocious attacking-wise, and his crosses have been next to woeful of late. Defensively feel he's fine though.

As for our team, I'm just happy we're only a couple of big signings away from that lucrative top 4 spot. This side is a decent one, all it needs is a proper winger and a finisher.

Finally, here's to hoping we can do a massive favor to Newcastle's Champions League aspirations by beating Chelsea at Anfield on May 8. Chelsea and Everton have pretty much been our only bunnies since Kenny took over.

sattar I've called you out and all of a sudden you've gone quiet. I'll ask again: Do you really want to get into this? Because I will tear you to pieces.

sattar has to be 12 years old maximum.

Doesn't matter. I cannot stand keyboard warriors.

Ha ha ha! I'd say twelve as well - or maybe a bit less. I'm fairly confident of the lads getting at least a draw in the big game - but we must not lose. Having said that, it's been the kind of season that City will go top, then slip up against Newcastle. ;) There's every chance of Newcastle playing a defining role in this season's race. They've already beaten us 3-0 and they're now fighting to get into the CL, so it will be a tough, tough game for City. For us, I'd hope to get six out of six from Swansea and Sunderland, so even if City were to win at the Utd stadium ( :D ) there's still a good chance of us winning the league.

Squeaky bum time though - big time!

yes you have a point but atleast now city have a chance in their own hand if they win 3 matches i m sure through goal difference we will win the title. But its easy to write then doing at pitch but it will be close thats for sure..but still utd as upperhands they can go for draw as well but for us we have to win for sure..And its good for neautral as well :lol:lol that title race is going to the wire.

Hilarious post... :D

As for Mansour being pleased with this season - the longer it takes you to win the league and/or Champions League, the more frustrated he'll get. Man Utd aren't going away - and Arsenal will be strong next year as well; also remember that Chelsea still have massive spending power. Personally I think that if City don't win the league this year, it'll hurt them a lot - after the position they were in for such a long time.

Blinding title race for the neutrals, bloody nightmare if you support either of the protagonists! I was almost pulling my hair out during the Everton game! This whole damn thing could yet come down to goal difference - which of course wouldn't end well for us. Football eh? Bloody hell!

And then after this, we've got the England rollercoaster to look forwards to. Maybe we'll do OK this time because people aren't running around expecting us to win it...

^Yeah it will definetly hurt but if it goes otherway then.Wouldnt it hurt you and ur team that to blown out 8 points lead when you have been there many times but if we win the title u will also be benfited atleast saf will knws he need and world class midfielder :lol
