Love making excuses don't you :p

Man U spent a lot of money on De Gea, Jones and Smalling. It's not like you picked them up on a free.

All very well saying things like, not scoring enough against team A, or team B cost you, but in the very real encounter between the top two sides Man U had a 10 goal swing at home. They lost the title by a GD of 8.

Listening to football phone ins is classic:

We've got X in Somerset on the line - "I'm a United fan..."
Y in Manchester - "I'm a City fan..."

;)

thread confirmed ruined by clueless preteen subcontinent kids who think they are die hard fans of a sports team from a city they have almost certainly never visited.

little point me coming back to this thread anymore as about half of the posts on the last few pages have been from people on my ignore list. Stick to the IPL kids you have zero understanding of english football

It's alright. We can talk about the prospect of King Kenny getting fired.

On a completely unrelated note, only Bevab seems to have spelled Cleverley right.

Oh and Stewart Downing this season in the Premiership:

0 goals, 0 assists, a penalty miss - cost 20m. Bargains don't come any better than this. :)

It's not an excuse, it's a fact. Where we beat a team 1-0 or 2-0, City beat them 5 or 6-0. And although De Gea did cost a lot of money, he still required a long time to bed in and for the first part of the season, he was a liability. There's no getting around that, or the fact that City were freescoring this season, which is what has ultimately won them the league, after all we've both finished on exactly the same number of points remember. ;) And that's not just coming from me, that's coming from football pundits all over the place.

Re 'Cleverly/Cleverley', it's confusing - it's easy to get him mixed up with the boxer of the same name. :D

So nothing to do with taking nil points from the team you finished level with and having a -12 goal swing against them? Instead of worrying about whether Man U scored enough goals against the crap teams, I'd suggest wondering why they were spanked by the only other team in the league that finished within 20 points of them, and were comfortably beaten in Europe.

When you have all finished filling your nappies,, reflect on the craziest day of footy in my 30 years.

I may have sunk a few to many beers and had a $hit hot kebab but i know i witnessed something today i still cannot believe.

Some of you need to grow up, its only football,,:facepalm

Man city deserved champs, best team simple as..

Enjoy what our league gives us and just accept defeat like a man and show dignity,, excuses are a pathetic way to avoid facing reality.

And lo from the cumberland did he sprayeth his wisdom over his flock. Give us this bread, or roll, for hotdogs. For thine lincolnshire be his name, in chipolata, and the bratwurst we trust. Add inches, 8, amen.

Just seen the Joey Barton nonsense for myself and it was a definite red card, but did Aguero have to go down as if fatally wounded when Barton shoved him over? Typical of today's top footballers.

As for the other thing, argue as much as you damn well like. The football experts over the past few weeks have repeatedly been saying that Utd's failure to fill their boots when teams were clearly there for the taking is what has cost us. As reflected by City winning on goal difference. That's not an excuse, it's a irrefutable fact. We've been soundly beaten by our rivals before, yet still came out with the league. 1996, 5-0 by Newcastle - did they win the league? It's about the entire season, not just two games. City finished eight goals clear - even if it had only been 2-0 at Utd, they still would've beaten us today on goal difference.

Man City have deservedly won the league but I will debate it with Jesus Christ himself that had we showed their level of ruthlessness, they would still be waiting their first Premiership championship. So well done, Blue Plastic - but don't start getting ahead of yourselves thinking that this is the end of Man Utd. Chelsea were thinking like you as well, it didn't last.

What a lovely interview with Kompany. Really came across well, seems a good man and I'm pleased for him.

Aye, it annoys me that I can't get myself to hate some of the City players, apart from obviously Tevez and De Jong or Barry for his generically-shaped head.
