Other than United's dramatic 1999 Champions League winner, in my lifetime this is most dramatic way i've seen any team win a football title.

Once they keep this squad together, I think City will be champions of Europe within the next two seasons.

ROFLMAO.

Hahahaha!

"He's better than I thought!" - Kenny Dalglish

lol you deluded King!

He's not stupid, speaking out against the owners would only destabilise the running of the club.

Of course Blackburn bought the title that season ;)
No team will ever win the premiership again without buying it.

It's easier to accept when the person splashing the cash is actually a fan of the club - even better, a hometown boy. Sheikh Mansour is a life-long City fan? :p

You are of course, right. It's the way it's going to go - more and more money is going to be thrown around, more and more clubs will be taken over. Before the Glazers, we were making enough money to run the club and afford to buy pretty much any player in the world. Now the only way to get that back will be to sell out (if we can get rid of the sodding Gormless Glazers) - and that will be a real shame, because it'll mean basically being tainted with the same brush as City - unless the buyer is either English, or is actually a Man Utd fan. Anyway, looks like Sir Alex is busy putting the process of buying the title back. :D He's spending a lot of time looking at various Borussia Dortmund players.

Or it might give them a shove towards the exit door. Of course, he's going to pack it in any year now; if he was much younger, it could be a case of 'either you get rid of our owners, Mr Gill, or I'm outta here'. Now, I don't think that would work anyway because of his age.

I don't like the sound of Man Utd being taken over by anyone, apart from an actual Man Utd fan - but if that's the only way to keep up with City, then if an offer comes in - an offer from someone rich, like Murdoch was back in the 90s :facepalm, then we must accept it. I still don't get how the Murdoch takeover was able to be blocked, but not the Glazers. I mean, didn't the owners know about the Glazers' financial position or something??

It's madness - they're dragging the club down - and the sooner they go, the better. We've been winning despite the Glazers, not because of them.

I like that you complain Man City are bankrolled whilst lamenting you don't have an owner to bankroll you... :p

No - I lament that we used to be in a situation where we didn't need anyone to bankroll us (a situation City could only ever dream of) - all the money was earned by the club on and off the pitch - no foreign investors in sight; when we were approached by Murdoch, we turned him down. Now, the only way to keep pace with City is to get a new owner who will put money into the club instead of destroying it.

Still, no one can say we've had a bad season. We got 89 points - that's nine more than last year, and scored more goals than last year, when we actually won the title.

When it all comes down to it, we missed out on the title by a couple of minutes - so it was hardly a disaster although because we've failed to win the title, everyone will once again, forsee the end of the Man Utd empire. Well, we've heard that before. :p

Alex McLeish has been sacked. Cannot complain though, for their home form was horrible.

Any season where utd don't win anything and you don't make the knock out stage of the champions league is a very, very bad season

City let you guys back in through there lack of experience of a title race,, they should have had it wrapped up way before sunday,, now they have tasted there 1st title,, you will be playing for second now with the rest of us for a very long time.

Do not kid yourself that you had a good season, by going on about how many goals you have scored shows you are clutching at straws, you are in denial big time,

Scholes is staying on again, this shows your intentions for next season,, relying on the dads army boys,, where i'm sure city will go get a couple of 30 million pound world class players,,

Hey good luck with next season,, you could always ask neville to come out of retirement

Modric or Kagawa are going to Utd. Or maybe Hazard. That's more than enough to let Scholes sit back more.

Utd will spend a tonne as usual anyway, it's expected.

Though 2nd place is likely, I agree.
