Modric or Kagawa are going to Utd. Or maybe Hazard. That's more than enough to let Scholes sit back more.

Utd will spend a tonne as usual anyway, it's expected.

Though 2nd place is likely, I agree.

A tonne that will drag us deeper into debt. Either way, it's not a good situation for the club until we can get rid of the Glazers.

4. This forum is full of Man Utd fans who cannot accept defeat or that United aren't perfect, and hence make mistakes all the time. And one reason I'm sure you're certain you'll win the league next season - you'll invest heavily in the team again, obviously.

Anyway, I hope next season can be just as brilliant as this:cheers.

Well, I for one know Utd aren't perfect, as you will realise by reading my posts over the past few weeks when I've done nothing but criticise the capitulation and awful team selection against City, the poor tactics against Everton when two goals up with only ten minutes to go and the general cock up of blowing an eight point lead in about two weeks. Add to that, if Man Utd don't turn up, I'm the first to rip into them - admittedly it doesn't happen often but when it does, I tell it how it is. I'm in no way certain we'll win the league, but what I am certain of is a reaction from the team as a whole - Man Utd don't generally stay down for long. Personally, I think City will probably win the league again next season - let's face it, they can replace the whole team in each transfer window if they so wish - but I do know we'll fight them all the way, as we did this season.

Defeat, I can accept - but try accepting it when you're literally two minutes away from winning the title, after we'd appeared to have blown it in the past few weeks - if it happened to Arsenal, or Chelsea, or Liverpool, or anyone else, you'd all be just as pissed. ;)

I'm with you about next season though - by far the best final day I've ever experienced (although we lost the title) and an exceptional season to go before it.

I disagree about the debt Steve. City will spend more than Utd, but Utd will buy just as many players and for huge amounts as usual.

I just hope you don't get Kagawa... Arsenal is made for him, he'll barely need to get accustomed to the team, but for Utd he'll spend quite a while having to get used to the wings or the deeper midfield... Or Shrek will push up top and Kagawa will play behind him. Unlikely though. Utd should get Javi Martinez and Modric for sure, plus maybe Cavani or chase RVP, but hands off Kagawa!

----------

Hey calm down he was just answering the critics that his moved was right and not for money but as well as to win something rather than come 3rd and have no trophy

Winning the title dosen't count for anything. Are you saying everything is fine because he won the title? So Pizzaro was right to come just for the title? Or Bridge was wrong to leave as he would've won the title.

Na$ri is a hack, he is just another Adebayor bought for an incredibly overpriced fee whose wages are so high that when he fails at City (this season once Hazard is signed) no-one will want him. He sure as hell should've gone to Inter, Juve, Utd or stayed at Arsenal.

But we don't need him really, Arteta as well as a rejuvenated Rosicky is enough.

Bloody hell I remember how excited I was when we signed him, don't think I've ever been that excited for a transfer before. Dickhead. We loved him.

Liverpool do have a massive world wide following so i don't really see what you're getting at there.

I'm not getting into a debate about what does or does not constitute being a proper fan. I included the words clueless and preteen. Not all supporters of teams have to be from the area.

KBC doesn't seem a preteen. It appears there are only a few even here, easily a minority. You really going to leave and get agitated for that? Most of the posts in the last few pages have been Steve.

I'm pretty sure he isn't an Asian preteen:p... Pretty sure.

Btw Nasri isn't fully being an ass. There are tonnes of players who just sit around earning a shedload of money at Arsenal for nothing.

Squillaci and Park are two of these, plus a lot of the youth players.

Arsenal are after all the Man City of the youth market, paying massive wages for youths, hence why Arsenal is more attractive for most younger players. Perhaps that's why Na$ri came to Arsenal in the first place.

Still hope for Kagawa.

Das Aktuelle Sportstudio zu Gast: Double-Gewinner Borussia Dortmund - YouTube

From a few days ago, at 17:45 Kagawa get's asked about his future and a team-mate says "Ask Arsene Wenger." Maybe he doesn't speak German or doesn't want to say.

Though he is meeting with Fergie. Perhaps Arsenal has made a bid though?

Quite optimistic but the talk is that he's already met Sir Alex in Manchester and flew back to japan from there on. If he had any intention to ply his trade elsewhere he would've headed to London, sadly, it isn't the case. :p

Meetings are a big step but aren't everything and the press can mislead them. Plus no guarantees Fergie was there to meet with him, perhaps he was just shown around the complex. Ramsey was a huge Utd fanboy, and went to Manchester first, yet he signed for Arsenal... Fergie watching the Pokal final isn't truly showing he is certain to sign for Utd too, as Utd are in for Lewandowski and Hummels too.

Kagawa respects Wenger due to what he did in Japan, but he's from Japan and Man Utd is the only English club in Japan. It's understandable that he'd show interest for Utd, but if Wenger wants him enough he can try and convince him.

I'm really just clutching at straws here, but hey, I can dream. Modric and Javi Martinez should be Utd's number 1 targets anyway.

Modric really is the one person who could solve the midfield issues for United. Although its most likely that Kagawa will be signing the dotted line with the Red Devils this season as their big signing. Its been confirmed that he met with SAF and later said that he wants to sign for a club that could give him a challenge. This could probably mean a spell at Old Trafford, with the challenge being to fit in the squad as a deep lying MF, something quite different for him compared to his previous role.

Also, Ted Sheringham hinted that United should pursue Sneijder once again, but that is unlikely to happen if either of Modric or Kagawa comes in. Probably, all this should see Scholes take a backseat, but I would'nt be surprised if he still makes it to the playing XI in the initial stages.

King Kenny sacked. Was always our King as a player - unrivaled performances on the pitch as our #7. But never a quality manager. Nevertheless, good luck to him.

Guess Kenny's axe can be considered as Stewart Downing's only assist for the season then.

Sad to see him go but you're in enough despair to give him the boot. Bittersweet, again.

Too soon and perhaps a little too hasty, I feel. Needed 1 more season.

So, Villas-Boas at 'Pool?:p

----------

And Martinez or Benitez or clear favourites for the Anfield role? Thoughts, 'Pool fans?

----------

Personally, I would like to see Martinez at Anfield, would be fantastic to see how he does things at Liverpool.

True that. Not many reasons you'd sack him as a manager, he just had the wrong moments at the wrong time. Suarez-Evra, Carroll's kick start problem, Downing being hopeless. But he always stood by them. There were glimpses of what his side could do on their day.

But the big Q, who's next? AVB to liverpool claim is rubbish.

Should have never got rid of Hodgson,, so basically by getting rid of him after 6 months they have won a carling cup,,

Hey that was good call,,, :facepalm

Anyway Englands gain with regards to Roy..
