Not like we have any other alternatives, Shravi. Yesil and Morgan are too young and raw for the Premiership, while Shelvey I thought did extremely well there against the Young Boys.

Rodgers is a David Brent esque personality.

No, he's much more than that. :spy

Man City haven't been amazing either. I reckon it'll be a high scoring game, but Utd will sneak it. Something like 3-2 or 4-3 is a possibility for sure.

Dammit, why did I have to be right... I guess that's the title for Gloryhunters Utd.

What a game though, quality game, wish Clichy would've just played it back to Hart there but hey, I'm not going to blame him for the loss.

Don't think so, the Old Trafford game will just be super important now.

If I was a City fan, I'd be very worried. Last season, we blew an eight point lead; Utd don't generally do that very often and now we have a six point cushion. City have a really tough game next as well, at Newcastle. And may I remind you what usually happens when a team's been on a long unbeaten run? The defeats come thick and fast. ;) Every single time when a team's been on a long unbeaten run, it happens - no matter whether it's Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal or City. Of course the title isn't won yet, not by a long way, but to have a six point lead heading towards Christmas represents job half done, and we've been nowhere near our best either.

Something I have to add here: Mancini has dropped a huge managerial clanger by not sticking with Tevez/Aguero as his main strike partnership - you could see how different a team City were today when Tevez came on. Following on from that, I wouldn't be surprised if Balotelli is finished at City now.

Now the game itself:

First off, fantastic result after a fantastic game. The two top sides in the country, by some distance, just slugging it out! I never thought it was enough when we went in at HT with a two goal lead - and City proved again that they're very resilient, especially at home. However, so are we. ;)

Have to give a great big thanks to Nasri for the cute little assist to RvP's freekick. :D Awful play by City leading up to that as well - and a pat on the back for Welbeck's fighting qualities when he kept the ball in the danger area from the initial attack.

Hopefully the ------ who injured Rio will be caught and banned from football for life.

I am totally bemused that we're looking at Lewandowski (spelling) for January - what we need, what we're crying out for is a bloody ball winner in midfield! Preferably someone who can play CB as well. Overall our defending was a lot better than it has been, although leaving the man alone on the edge of the area at a corner was a schoolboy error; someone should've picked Zabaleta up.

Kolo Toure on Young (as I remember)? There was contact, but I reckon it was just outside the box.

Finally:

Mancini, are you listening?
You better keep that trophy glistening!
'Cause we'll be back in May,
To take it away!
Walking in a Fergie Wonderland. :D :D :D

Tbf he was hiding behind Dzeko the whole time...

He was absolutely to blame! He was hiding behind Dzeko, and then wasn't it him who stuck his leg out and deflected the ball?

Didn't see the incident with Rio, in the pub and not concentrating on anything over than my beer, but the lads in my company said he punched himself in the face...?

Have to watch sky sports news later

That's what I thought at first, but some ---- had threw something(coin?) at him.

Mancini shouting at Tevez for not diving was hilarious.

Try and catch the highlights mate, it was a great match. :) When I first saw it, I thought he'd collided with the goal post or something, but no - some moron hit him with an object. :noway

I was in the pub with all the boys after Sunday football, celebrating my hatrick,
So was concentrating more on the beer than the match

From what I did see utd deserved the win.
