Well yeah, they should've and would've been up 3-0 if it wasn't for that poor offside call by the linesman, but at the end of the day it's a derby and it's always going to take a while to recover from(at least for me :p).

3 former Hammer lads to win it for Liverpool against the Hammers! Absolutely ballistic over the win for so many reasons I don't need explaining - First league win on a Sunday, first back to back Premiership wins, first time scoring past 75' (yet to score in the last ten mins though!), first comeback win in the league this season, etc, etc...

Sterling needs to clear up his head though - his contract saga's clearly taking a toll on him and has eventually resulted in him producing a string of abysmal performances of late. Allen still the average Allen since becoming a father last month, although the penalty awarded to West Ham was incredibly harsh considering it was ball to hand than a handball itself. Johnson was godly, Skrtel and Agger rock solid, and Downing had a fairly decent game too. Henderson was surprisingly enough our inspirational super sub!

What do you think of the Balotelli situation - looked like Mancini had lost patience with him when he hauled him off.

Unless United suffer a serious set of injuries to key players in defense, mid-field or strikers in the coming moths, then i can't see not winning the league after today's performance.

City are going to push them, but today's performance gives me the same sense of certainly that United will win, just as how City's 6-1 win last season, made me feel they would eventually win the league.

On the crowd - good god:facepalm, this is why i stopped supporting clubs with such passion years ago. It has long gone beyond banter and normal booing of players. The amount of awful crap fans say to players, no player should have to accept. And the throwing of stuff just crosses the bloody line. This is a bigger problem that racism & the FA & FIFA needs to do something about this crowd behaviour.

How could fans (English people) hate players so much to drive them to behave this way? Its mind-boggling stuff & if you compare this to cricket crowds & its clear the scum of english society goes to football games.

Liverpool please buy yourself a striker to support Suarez or else they won't even be in the europa league next year. Wilshire gets all the hype as the hottest young english talent, but Shelvey needs to get some praise too - played that striker role real impressively.

ABV needs to cut out his habit of making defensive sub late in games when spurs are leading. The majority of late goals they are conceding is because of this & it could cost them a c-league place if they don't stop losing games like this.

I was in the pub with all the boys after Sunday football, celebrating my hatrick,
So was concentrating more on the beer than the match

From what I did see utd deserved the win.

Hatrick, eh? Well played. :)

If you hate a team so much that you attempt (and in this case succeed) to physically injure one of the players, then you need help and should be banned from football for life.

War, I don't see how you can criticize the fans when you essentially said you would do the same thing if a player was homosexual.

Absolutely. The disgusting thrash talking has always been around. But i don't recall in recent years even in the previous heated premiership rivalries people throwing things from the crowd. And its concerning that the three games i've noticed throwing in this season was the United vs Chelsea & United vs City games - the so called big three title rivals.

I just hope the Old Trafford crowd doesn't do the same when city & chelsea visit later this season.

Ha. I never said that. All i ever mentioned in response to gareth southgate assertion that gay players should come out in the premiership, was to say that i oppose homosexuality in society. And if such undercover players was to take up southgate's advice, people who have a similar stance on gay's who go to football games & curse out players weekly (i have never gone to premiership game & abused a player or thrown things @ them. But rather to have fun, while making the odd boo & shout to a poor ref decision) - would destroy them. Clear difference.

We might have stolen that one but we've been robbed by late goals a lot this season.
Also c'mon West Ham.

i wouldn't say we stole it,

obviously it looks that way with two late goals, but we seemed to be the team in control (as you'd expect between to evenly match sides with us being the home team)

it'd have been a steal if tottenham won it. a draw probably the fairest result of the three i guess.

Well, at least it didn't cost anyone the title, unlike the last one. ;)

Forgetting this?

If I were to quote Mancini I'd say he's "finished". :p

Seriously, I'm just about done with Balotelli, he isn't even that good. Balotelli out, Jovetic in. :yes

Regardless of who the player plays for, they should be safe to do their 'job' without the threat of violence from the crowd. The FA must stamp down hard on this.

Balotelli is the Ultimate Enigma for me - people used to call Cantona 'enigmatic', but he has nothing on Balotelli...

Apologies: King Cantona. Or God. Whichever you prefer, Mr Cantona, Sir. :D :D :D

stuff gets thrown all the time at loads of grounds. not so much over the last 2-3 seasons, but aroudn about 07-08 it took a brave keeper to waste time from a goal kick by the gwladys if leading in the second half due to the amount of ---- that got thrown.

not defending it by any means but it has been a problem for ages and happens a lot. to say you haven't seen anything like it due to one incident today is insane.

The hatrick goal was an absolute fluke, out wide on the right went to float a cross to the back stick ended up chipping the keeper from 30 yards.

And then to rub salt in the wounds, the left winger I was aiming for then did exactly the same thing a minute later from the other side trying to pick me out, :lol

I said recent premier league years, like from 2000 onwards. Since i know it happened in the 90s alot, especially during man utd vs arsenal & liverpool games & of course it was very prevalent in the 80s & 70s along with the racism problem.

Ye ha i did actually while typing, but seeing it back now i recall the incident.
