Ye Walcott would actually be a good buy to back up valencia & young. Plus another Englishman @ united.

Would he really want to be a back-up? His main problem is his desire to play as a striker, and that ain't gonna happen if he moves to United.

And if he does move to United, its obvious that his sole aim is to get a higher wage package.

It's Arsenal, it's a clear wage issue. Playing him up front shouldn't be a problem at Arsenal, it's the wages. I hear he wants 100 K, ridiculous when even van Persie didn't get that. He can leave.

He should go to Liverpool.

Yep, that's a huge plus for England as well if it happens - look at Spain; look at how many of their players play for Barca or Real.

Yea Liverpool needs him and it is boyhood club(?).

Then again, he might want to join up with RvP again. But as others have said, he wants to play striker, which of course isn't going to happen at Utd; we've got enough strikers.

Yeah, Liverpool is the club he supported as a boy.

I'm sure he won't mind playing on the wings if he's on a nice healthy salary.

For the first time ever, I'm praying we sign Walcott (I was one of his critics prior to the start of this season), given Sterling's poor outings of late. That and of course, Walcott's good run of form this season as well. Please no to Sturridge though, I don't rate him as even a Top 8 material tbf.

Walcott is not that good, he just has pace. Admittely he has been great, but it will soon pass, I reckon.

He's finally developing his consistency, and in a counter-attacking set-up you'll see his quality a lot more often.

He has more than just pace, he is a clinical finisher. Unfortunately he can't dribble though, that is his worst characteristic IMO.

He isn't that great at all, but he is deadly on the counter-attack and causes a defence to change the way they set-up to account for him.

From what I'm reading, Nani could well be on his way, but we're lining up another Portuguese winger, and a midfielder as well. Hopefully of the defensive variety!

Perhaps fox-in-the-box is the ideal position for him: someone who excels at sticking the ball in the back of the net. I mean, if you're a winger, surely decent dribbling skills are quite a high requirement?

Yeah I agree. Something he can do is hit the ball real fast and run after it, I suppose that sort of qualifies as dribbling...

Llorente's definitely Juventus bound. He wasn't even cup tied with Athletic in the Europa League for that reason (in case Juve had been eliminated from the CL group stages and were relegated to the Europa League instead of Chelsea). Not to mention his "Forza Juve" status on his facebook page towards the end of the summer transfer window....

Hopefully they can get him in January, will be true CL contenders then.

Isn't that called knocking the ball past the opponent?

Haha yeah, but I suppose he has his own way of beating his man... Though a dribble would be much better.

Just makes you think, both Lennon and Walcott are similar but limited in their own ways. A hybrid of the two would be unstoppable:p.
