I don't think we struggle without gerrard that much, except when alonso isn't there either.

You're struggling with Gerrard anyway :D

Point is, Joe, you did struggle without them.

it is when you've only played 5 games though

but it isnt when you consider the entire season of 38 premiership games, plus the games in the cup competitions and in europe.

i dont think united are that much affected in rooney's absence, but ronaldo is just too crucial for them.

We're struggling with Gerrard at 80% and without Alonso...maybe rafa was right with gerrard on the right? When he played there he had his best season (05-06).

yes but we haven't played an entire season yet have we, we've played 8 games.
Will we did alright without Rooney and to be honest we were just going through one of those spells where nothing goes in the net so I don't think Ronaldo would have made a massive difference, maybe picked us up an extra point or 2.

That's a cool sig!

We only have one game on and thats at scumfield, hopefully we'll have a few games on Setanta, although I know that we have quite a lot of home games in December, so it won't matter to me.

EDIT: Setanta fixtures up till 23rd December.

So no United away games on that either. They have two of our home games, but thats no use to me as I'll be there anyway.

I'm not sure I totally agree on your argument Rob, it helps fans who can't get to the game, support their side. However, I do think it has had a negative effect on the traditional 3 o'clock Saturday kick off. Last week was a farce.

Any club at Championship or below level are not at risk because of Sky Sports TV fees. They've always scheduled their football to show the top sides since they started because it draws more ratings for them. The actual fact is that your still all in trouble because of the ITV Digital cock-up. Your still not getting the money they had promised you.

Sadly as is the case with most Championship sides, especially with your success this season and if the directors take the clubs financial situation seriously, then sadly enough they'll probably have to accept any offers they get from Premiership clubs for your better performers. It's the way the leagues are going at the moment though, just becoming breeding grounds for good English talents and becoming more and more of selling clubs.
