Do hope it's Sunderland who go down, considering Villa have got a decent number of youngsters coming up their setup, so would be pretty harsh on them getting relegated.

On our match yesterday, Coutinho's coming through much better than I had expected. And Henderson's brilliance yesterday makes Rodgers' decision to start Allen over him at St. Mary's last weekend, all the more baffling.

First off, what a goal by Ba - the technique for that finish was amazing and then that save by Cech off Hernandez. Game's livening up now, RvP's on but why is Nani still on? His touch is nowhere today; he is as the commentators said 'having one'. Stick Ashley Young on - he's in good form!

Here comes Giggs - for Nani.

Woah - that was the game right there for Hazard - what a miss! We have to get going - we've barely been in this second half apart from the Hernandez effort.

Quite a miss by RVP as well. Chelski's impressive cup record continues.

Dunno what's going on with RvP right now: three goals for Holland in midweek, and he fluffs a chance like that! It's getting a bit worrying now; at least it would be if we weren't so far clear in the title race. I mean if RvP was misfiring for Holland as well, I could understand it but it's like he's two different players at the moment. Even his body language when he first came on today didn't quite seem like the early season RvP. Seems that you just don't want to be drawn against Chelsea in the FA Cup - they've more or less made it their playground.

Well played Chelsea - both teams didn't really look at it in the first half, but once again they woke up in the second and we didn't. Clearly whoever wins the semi final will now win the Cup, so hopefully that'll be Chelsea. After last year's final day kick in the guts, not many things will be sweeter than being able to sing the 'You're gonna win FA' song at Man City. :D

Can't help but think whether we'd now be watching ET if Young had started instead of Nani; the latter had the simplest of balls in to Hernandez in the first half and he played it right behind him. Oh well - it'll just have to be a crushingly humiliating retaking of our title instead. :D

Keano isn't quite sure what this Utd side is lacking right now - I can: some Roy Keane type steel in the midfield. We're miles clear in the league, we did well in the CL against Madrid (not getting into that again ;) but in some ways there are cracks in the squad that need filling in. We look like a great attacking side right now, but when you need to grind out a result against quality opposition, or like vs Madrid to shore up the midfield after going down to ten men, we're lacking. Rumours are bouncing around of course - this is silly season - but the one signing we need is a top class midfield.... wait for it... BALL WINNER! Toure's getting itchy feet at City - whether we get him or not, we'd be idiots not to give it a try. ;)

Ugh, was really looking forward to them back-2-back derbies, such a disappointment this United. :rolleyes

Not much to play for really. League sewn up and out of everything else...

At least there should be some last day fun with relegation and European places. Actually now I look at the table, there's only really one relegation spot left open to be honest, although there are a few teams who could be dragged into it.

Epic - yeah, never mind. We'll have to make it an..ahem...Epic occasion at Old Trafford, eh? ;)

Think RVP has played himself out of the player of the season award in the last month or so?

- Jordan Henderson has scored 3 goals & made 2 assists in his last 7 PL starts
- LUCAS /GERRARD /HENDERSON have only started 5 league matches in CM together- 3W 2D-City(A) & Arsenal(A).

Interesting stats. Henderson was very impressive again vs Villa. He's having a good season. I still don't think his best position is as an attacking midfielder, but currently Gerrard and Lucas occupy the deeper positions. He is never going to become a world class player, but I feel he can be a very useful system player. Henderson is a player with great stamina, and is quite tactically aware of his positioning. His passing is improving as he seems to have more time on the ball, and his first touch is among the best at Liverpool.

It's taken time but Rodgers has finally managed to fit Henderson into the Liverpool team and their way of playing. He needs to do the same with Allen. Don't think he'll have any trouble with Coutinho, his style works beautifully in tandem with Gerrard deep and Suarez/Sturridge running on the shoulder of the last man. If they can get 5th it'd be a brilliant achievement considering their form at the start of the season.
