Who will win the Premiership?

Chelsea will probably get away mis-managing mata. madrid, barcelona and bayern are over-flowing with creative attacking midfielders (though perhaps Barca may be able to squeeze him in, depending on how essential neymar makes himself), Chelsea won't sell to Man U or City and no one else will be able to afford his transfer or wages in january. I'd be very surprised if he moved cut price to athletico or something like that.

I expect mata to be a fixture by november and nothing to come of this unrest.

Could be a definite target for PSG as a Pastore replacement, similar at Barca as a Sanchez replacement even though he is improving, though he did play for Madrid in the past.

I just think Mourinho isn't going to hold on to him if he again becomes their best player. Makes him look like a fool. Unless he is sacked by then which is possible.

Well, that was quite possibly the most undeserving loss I've ever experienced.

Man Utd outplayed at home. Man City lose. Tottenham and Chelsea drop points.

Who will take advantage of this? Liverpool.

We will lose to Swansea.

I wonder how the media will take this, will Man City be "in crisis" now like we were after losing to Villa? Will the media suggest Moyes is most likely to be sacked like Wenger was after our start two seasons ago? I doubt it, they will say that it was a poor refereeing decision or some rubbish that lost them the games:lol.

Up the Villa!!! Back at the pundits who said we can't play at home! And without Bentekkers, with them on the back of thumping the reds in the derby. Both West Mids clubs dish it out to the Mancs! Utd slump down to 12th. What an extraordinary day of football in the prem. Itching for Match of the day now!

Man Utd 6 points off Spurs at the top, possibly 8 points if we win.

Still shoe-ins to win the league though, right Stinky and MB?

never said they were shoe ins, neither did MB, I distinctly remember him saying "there or thereabouts" in relations to man u's chances, just they're not going to fall so far back as to be out of sight. you said it was between arsenal and city, city aren't doing very well either but I reckon, like man u, they'll catch up.

I will categorically state that come march it will not be a two horse race between arsenal and tottenham. I'd wait a month until I'm convinced by arsenal, they play chelsea, liverpool, dortmund in the CL then united, that will be where their season takes shape.

----------

will say this though, terrible loss for united, and yet they've managed to lose a mere point on the 3 title contenders, arsenal could take advantage and it's worrying that united are stuttering like this but they've yet to be punished for that awful result.

Fair enough, but I still feel you massively overrated Man Utd. There or thereabouts means winning the title, MB may not say the exact words Man Utd will win the title but he means it. I think they are out of sight, unless they can get in a great new manager, maybe someone like Hitzfeld and five or six new players. Otherwise Europa League might be a struggle at this rate.

I agree about Arsenal, other than the few bigger games though we've got an easy run through to February so by then we'll be in a good position no matter how we do in the bigger games so long as we don't self-destruct. Mind you we have no wingers right now. As I said though I think we'll drop points at the Liberty, we aren't perfect or close to it.

As for the title race, I think City will be in the thick of it. Pellegrini hasn't had his tactics right IMO in all but the Man Utd and Newcastle games, and can't comment on the Villa game as I didn't see it but it wasn't too good either I'd imagine. Both those games showed that they can bring the results at home though, and against both big and small teams as well. Once he gets his right and his squad gels under him they'll be in there. Mancini must be laughing.

Mourinho is an idiot and I think he has been ever since he left Inter, he doesn't know what he's doing and unless he really steps it up Chelsea will be out of it. None of their signings were that great, and they also loaned out their best striker. They finished only a few points ahead of Arsenal and Tottenham, and seem to have picked up a poorer manager.

As for Tottenham, they have a lot more to prove than Arsenal. I thought they'd finish below Liverpool before the season started. They have proven that they are looking a good team after Bale, and have made some good signings, I'm not sure they can score enough goals though, their attack looks weak and while their defence has been solid other than Lloris all the players in their back line seem a bit weak.

In any case, it's all open and it's looking like the best ever PL season.

Yes indeed the don, season is probably potentially the most open ever. The top 6 teams plus even Everton have a equal & great chance of getting a champions league spot.

I wont make any league predictions since by my own person rules i dont think it makes sense to do so until December/January. But i'm seeing some interesting stuff with all the teams.

Man City have along with the spurs the squads with the best depth in the league. But they have already lost two games in between thrashing United - they obviously will need minimize and eradicate that as the season progresses.

Love the look at Spurs squad - if they could have toppled Chelsea today it would have sent a real statement. But i'd be surprised if they are not in the top 3 come the end of the season.

Think England have to call up Dawson now for the world cup qualifers. He has been playing regular 90 minutes & is part of Spurs defense that has only conceded 2 goals in all competitions this season.

Will be interesting to how long Arsenal keep up this up. Ramsey is seemingly finally living up to the hype of his youth, so i guess when they get Cozorla & Walcott back fit & possibly by a next big-ish striker (unless Wenger believes he can transform bendtner) - only then i believe people might take their title credentials serious.

Wilshire has been playing an interesting role on the left & interchanging positions with Ozil in attacking mid-field throughout a game. That is something i reckon Hodgson could try with him & Rooney in an England shirt.

United as suggested before need to revamp their wingers. Although they could start by playing young belgain Junuzaj more often & benching Nani & Young all the time. Anderson also displayed why he has become so useless - stunned he even played.

Ferdinand has looked very bad of late, but i don't understand why Moyes is playing him so often. It was only in March this year when Rio had to superb game vs Real Madrid & Hodgson finally recalled him for ENG - that we had Ferguson professing that Rio cant play more than twice a week to get the best out of him.

So unless something has changed in the last few months, playing Ferdinand so often seems very counter-intuitive.

United's horrific transfer window as everyone knows is coming back to haunt them now it seems. They might as well spend big in January or this could get embarrassing. Think as suggested before Cuadardo or Cabaye could be players they could get.

For Chelsea with their current strikers problems, reckon Mourinho made an obvious mistake to sell Lukaku really. The youngster seemed ready to step up & Chelsea this year. His position on Mata is also bewildering, he should be starting every game.

lol.

don't do crystal meth people.

Ha well yea your Everton most likely won't get a C-league spot (maybe just a EURO spot) - but they will keep the big 6 honest for sure - especially Martinez keeps certain key (Baines) players & improves the squad in January.

Although I'm not the one usually concerned with other teams, Man Utd was woeful. WBA was all over them in the 2nd half (I started watching from the second half onwards). They need creativity like Nani's (not his dramatics.. :p ). Raphael was also a constant threat going forward against Liverpool.
