Who will win the Premiership?

Liverpool have just as good a chance to win the FA Cup as your lot. Your last chance to win a trophy as well.

Schmeichel made a very interesting point yesterday - you know what he said? That's right - we also had two very early defeats last season as well. And allow me to remind you that we have the same squad plus some much needed steel in midfield in Felliani. So what if he had a nightmare against City? The whole team did apart from Rooney.

Remind me again how far ahead we finished, after a similar start last year - it's slipped my mind.

Valencia is still good but Young is playing like a piece of ---- these days

Liverpool fans before the match-Suarez will destroy Manchester United
Liverpool fans after the match- Next year is ours :p

Liverpool fans every bloody year:

And Arsenal are beginning to sound like them as well. How long has it been since they won a damn thing?

Well they beat you in the league, where it matters, not that tin pot COC.

Valencia is also ----...

Ohhhh... it mattered to them. Don't make any mistake about that my friend - it mattered a hell of a lot to them. And funny how no one calls it a tin pot cup when they actually win it isn't it?

Sorry to disappoint you, but I (among many) wasn't really bothered about the result. Yeah, obviously wanted us to win, but didn't go sleepless because we lost to United. If you go back a couple of pages in this thread, you would have seen how distraught I was, after seeing us lose to Southampton last weekend, in the league - which is what matters (and we beat you there!). I really can't take the League Cup seriously, even if we were playing United.

I think Brenton took it pretty seriously, putting out his strongest available side for a cup tie for some reason.

Ha yeah, exactly.

@Don - Delusional about what? It is a fact we had a bad start last year and still won at a canter. It is also a fact that we have a stronger squad this year - we have signed one player, and Rooney is playing better than he ever did last season. If Rooney and RvP continue their form, we'll be there or thereabouts, don't worry about that.

is that why you stopped taking life seriously, ste?

but yeah, chelsea and man city, it's ridiculous. 3 times more than even clubs like liverpool and man u.

We are not even in the Europa League. So we were obviously going to go full strength whenever we had the chance/obstacle of playing two games a week. Did so in our previous round clash against Notts County as well, at home.

Chelsea or Man Utd are definitely dropping out of the top four this season and Spurs will take their place.

Man Utd have Rooney and van Persie. Chelsea have nothing and a special ------. So it'll probably be Chelsea.

^^Way too early to say anything like that..

Chelsea dominated the second half completely, except after Torres was sent off, which shouldn't have been a 2nd yellow:facepalm Some good play from him today though.

That was some absolutely shocking refereeing in that game.

The way Mourinho is managing the team they will struggle. Mata is proving him wrong, no doubt Mourinho may not even play him again in the league haha expect him to be gone in January.

Moyes is learning. Other than Anderson and maybe Evra that's the best line-up he has available to him assuming Vidic and van Persie aren't fully fit.
