15 for him is fine, if you can get 30 games a season out of him.

problem is all of his eggs are in one lanky shaped basket. he has no goals without him.

As a side note I haven't seen a midfielder cover as much ground as McCarthy in a long time, suppose it's necessary as Barry is pretty old, and Barkley is inexperienced.

No doubt McCarthy has been excellent.

Just what a Chelsea fan wished - Torres scoring and Arsenal losing to City. Now , Let's hope that Liverpool loses to spurs. Arsenal will certainly lose to Chelsea which means that we will go into Christmas as table leaders.

If you spend 6 million on victor anichebe you are playing with fire, to be fair.

As far as I know, Clarke ain't in charge of transfers at West Brom. Don't they have a DoF for that?

To be fair to WBA their record since January 2013 to now is awful, 7 wins out of 34 league games and some dodgy signings.

Some managers are meant to be a no2 and Clarke is one of them

While i won't go that far yet to say he is done & has got his injuries back now for certain - i think its a fair point you have raised about his injuries to a degree.

Most Man Utd fans may have thought he was past his injuries for sure - but with such a strong history with injuries & how they have crept up this season it would concern you.

United might hope he doesn't turn into another Owen Hargreaves.

The trouble with guys like RvP is when they get one bad injury, they usually get more. :facepalm

But football is not that straight forward. :rolleyes

Jon Falangen with his first Liverpool goal, what a finish! This guy has a huge potential, performing well against all the big teams as well.

It should be a crime to be as good as Luis Suarez. Seriously, it should be illegal.

That being said, Jordan Henderson was immense today. Covered every inch of the the field and apart from his energy which we all know is a given these days, his end product was very good. Sterling was also impressive. Beat his man for pace on countless occasions and his direct play was good to watch. Still needs to work on his end product, but that will come with age. Flanagan with another good performance. He was very good at going forward. At times he was muscled off the ball, but his courage was heartening. He also tracked back frequently and knew when to move in centrally at the back to cut off moves.

:lol Football is funny, everyone dissing Welbeck & he scores twice - although its Villa. Needs to play more games in his preferred striker role IMO, before one can make a uniformed judgement on his ability.

Kind of shocked Clarke was sacked, think its a case with another British manager not given a far chance. Kind of reminds me of how Southampton sacked Nigel Adkins. WBA have not played bad, a lot of games they have been unlucky with referee decision this season - surely the club after the good work he did last season.

Tottenham continue to waste their squad, sad to say if anyone deserves a sack its probably ABV.

Yea his energy levels has been impressive all season, but yes indeed his end product & other parts of his game was arguably the best i've seen from him versus a very talented opposition mid-field - even though spurs are playing balls.

I was a bit worried about those other area's of his game, especially after seeing him look second rate in mid-field in the friendly vs Germany last month.

From an ENG perspective, once he keeps improving his all-round game, he is the kind of energetic mid-fielder that will be every useful in Brazil conditions.

Well that result more than anything shows how poor Tottenham are... Liverpool really mean business though, performing like that at White Hart Lane is big.

Oh and yes, Welbeck is still crap. If he was good he would've easily had a hattrick as he had plenty of chances to get the third. It's more a sign of how poor Villa are defensively, and we all know how bad they have been in that department for a while now though they have had a few good clean sheets this season.
