Who will win the Premiership?

Sick. Rooney was outstanding going forward, nice finish from welbeck and Januzaj, something strikes about him, his cult following grows by every game he plays, top effort from him, kept defenders on two minds on the flanks, ran well on the counter, and a very calmly placed goal to seal a great day for him. Best goal of the day is a tie for me. Cole vs Young (lol). But how about young's goal for a screamer. He hasn't scored those trademark out swingers since his first season at United, signs of his form good for United.

Jones has the potential to be his own kind of phenomenon in the middle of the park whenever he plays; thanks to his great marking and intercepting ability. Glad moyes is putting him to good use. He'd be likely to go back to the his usual CB/RB place once Fellaini and Carrick make a return but he's making most of the spotlight he's getting in the midfield.

Valencia ravaged as usual. I'd like to see him use his weaker foot though, overlooks his opportunities sometimes but well played today.

I think I posted a rather depressing and bleak guess at Spurs future a few years back.

It was along the lines that when we lost Modric we would begin a slow decline unless we completely replaced him. That we would still be in the market for ?15-20m players that may or may not end up world class. That unless we got a few right we'd then slip away from challenging from 4th and see a slow exodus of the star players. That having blown all the cash on gambles with no stake in the club, we would then be passed by clubs that had brought in the right 'gambles.'

Thank God I turned out to be wrong.

It's just getting too easy for him now. Like, other teams should be allowed more than 11 players- not to stop him, just to give them a chance.

How was the game? An exciting 0-0 draw I guess ?
Listening to it on the radio, it was dire. Utterly dire. Thankfully I didn't go because the poor yellow army are still on the 6 hour journey back from Sunderland.

In the future when it comes down to offloading a CM (if need be), in order to rope in another CM, I hope Rodgers sells the right one between Allen & Henderson. We all know who that should be, and I guess BR almost certainly knows that as well....

I do believe both are here to stay past this summer though, considering we'll probably be in Europe next season and in need of a larger squad.

Allen is a fine squad player, he can still offer something to the team a bit different to the others. He deserves to stick around and should still grow as a player, maybe he needs to add more to his game as he ages.

Henderson is certainly turning into a fine player. He's not quite a Ramsey-level talent, but he plays a lot like him and can certainly come close when he's at his peak.

the "resign or be fired" threat Tan is offering Malky MacKay is ludicrous.

he's got ?2m on his contract, it amounts to "take ?2m or don't." resign or quit threats might work in the humdrum world of normal business were we all want a decent CV we can show prospective employers. in a public position like being a football manager it's rather less effective, especially when everyone is out backing MacKay.

I feed bad for him but at the same time it's not exactly an awful situation to be in. He'll probably get to leave, take a huge a sum of money with him, and be offered any number of decent jobs in the summer without a blemish on his record or character. he's not even going to get blamed for a bad run of results, so completely will Tan absorb the blame for any crisis with the club now.

The situation is disgraceful. It's almost becoming like, the chairmen see all these clubs sacking their managers when they fail to win, and think that's the way to go.
Mackay is unblemished. He'll get a top job easily. I actually feel he might go to Tottenham.
Cardiff will find it harder to find a good manager looking at the owner's attitude. Apparently, Bellamy was approached, and he refused to manage the team.
