You compared them in the first place: Rooneys not the type of player whos going to get 39 goals in a season,he's not an out and out striker.
Rooneys not over-hyped, hes not playing as well now as he did at the start of his career despite scoring more goals than ever but he almost undoubtedly will find that form again,he's too good not to. Look back at how he played in his first year at united and the 2 or 3 at Everton and you will know what i'm talking about
If he's played in his correct position (central striker, not wing) like in the FA Cup Final, then you'll see him play like he did at the start of his career. He is no winger. Just have a look at some footage from Euro 2004 when he was played in his correct position (just off the front striker.) Also, when do you ever see Henry make rampaging runs like Rooney does, crashing through defences single handedly?
Rooney and Ronaldo are still young and will not reach their absolute best until they're about 27.....
Looks like we might be rid of these Glazer morons, too. Hopefully!
You wont mind this then
I think Ribery would prefer arsenal, as Henry is already there and Wenger is also french. Just if Arsenal can splash some cash and get him.
There is no logic that Rooney and Ronaldo will play their best at 27. Players often go through their peaks early and never manage to match them later on.
The logic behind it is 99% of players are at their best in the mid 20's. Rooney V Milan showed what hes capable of when he moves into the centre at OT. At Milan you can't blame him,he didn't get any service
I take it you didn't watch that game then? When you're playing up front as lone striker you can't be expected to drop back and run past probably the best defence in EuropeIf he was that good, he would have made his own.

What could he have done? We didn't give him any chance clear cut chances,he didn't even have a chance to run at them,he didn't play well but you apart from Scholes everyone played badly tat night and i seriously doubt anyone could have changed the result that night if the rest of the team played like thatYou don't have to run at them just drop back and start the move yourself. He should have improvised as Man U tried the same thing over and over again.
