m_vaughan;740048 I cant predict the future but as of now since we do have the money we have every right to spend. Its a footballing fact. The Spanish and Italian giants have been doing this for ages. Nothing wrong in that. Obviously its good to bring up youngsters and develop them into better players. But usually the smallers clubs end up losing all their promising youngsters to the bigger clubs.[/QUOTE said:
If no-one gives decent young English players a chance and instead blow ?30 million on past it players like Shevchenko, then it is detrimental to the health of the England team and god knows it needs all the help it can get at the moment.

GIve overpriced overhyped 'Talent' a chance?Tke them over someone like Fab,or Toure?!Don't make me laugh.English players have to earn the right to play...like everyone else.

Yeah lol... they are too overpriced for what they actually are worth. Why buy them. When you can get a wonderkid Fabregas for free, what more do you want

Will Arsenal have a big transfer off season. All the specualtion about Henry leaving should we be looking? I read an article on goal.com the other day and it had so many players that were going to leave Arsenal. I hope we can purchase some taleneted players in the off season after a dissapointing season.

We'll take Henry! But only for a small amount. He is past his prime but is still good and will probably play better at a club other then Arsenal?! What happened at the end of the last season? Why wasn't he plaing? Because he wants to get out of that S***hole!:D

Definitely will always be better than Rooney and Ronaldo. Those two are both over rated especially Ronaldo.

Ronaldo's FA Cup peformance showed that he isnt the greatest. He has to stand up and show he is great.

I think he will be far more affective if he plays behind another good striker. Saha has been injured for most part of this season and United are looking to sign someone like Torres. Gudjohnsen also being linked to the Red Devils.

But yes, Rooney is a class act no doubt but cant be rated as one of the best in the world. But he does have time on his side.

Always? Ronaldos 22 and Rooney 21 iirc. Don't be an idiot. Nobody should be jumping on Rooneys back when hes not being played in his proper position and doesn't have the players to play with to suit him. Rooney relies on pace from the main striker if he plays in his preferred position of just off the striker, hence Rooney and Owen pwning for England when fit :D Don't judge him yet, same with Ronaldo,if you seriously believe that there is no way Ronaldo could become better than him then you know nothing about football. Judge them at the end of their careers not the start  At the age fo 21 evreyone thought George Best would be the best ever and just continue to win trophies and be sucessful at the highest level. Didn't quite turn out like that

Rooney does a very good job considering he's not a natural striker.
Naturally he's an attacking midfielder, he's just been considered a striker you can see from his movement, touch and shooting. He's not a natural striker.

Ahh,no.He was injured. And has been injured for most of the season.Well past his prime?Huh,better than anybody in your team!

Sachin, Are you serious???

He is good but how can you say this?

I betcha when Rooney or Ronaldo reach the age of Henry and are playing their best football they will be unstoppable.

Henry may be passed his prime, hes entering his 30's, but for a striker I must admit that is probably a good age (my bad:D).

I know Henry is a good player but he isn't as important to Arsenal as Rooney or Ronaldo is too Man U, so I beleive that in being more important to a team is better overall than being a better individual player.

We probably can't tell if Henry is a better player than anyone at Man U untill Rooney and Ronaldo finish their careers - so I'll call you back in about 16 years!
