you can try but you wont be able to keep up because arsenal is pathetic.
Darren Bent rated at 13 million, possibly to West Ham
Benni McCarthy-2.5 million
shows the over pricing of English players
I dont think is the fact that they are over-rated, its more that English clubs know they can get away with charging big money for a player if another English team wants him.English players are usually over-rated and expensive. Something Arsenal could do without atm.

Like it or not, there is a lot of money in the English Premiership and when a big team such as Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal or Liverpool try to buy a player the price goes through the roof as the selling club knows that the fans want English players. Foreign players (from foreign clubs) prices are also inflated when an English team comes along but not by so much.
Look at the Owen Hargreaves/ Man Utd situation, prices of ?20Mil are being talked about. Bayern would never get anywhere near that for him if they sold him to any other club outside the Premiership.
Wenger on Luk out for keeper
ARSENAL are closing in on a £2million deal for Poland keeper Lukasz Fabianski.
The Legia Warsaw star, 22, jetted to London for talks and a medical on Thursday.
Arsene Wenger wants the 6ft 3in stopper to be Jens Lehmann’s understudy next season and sees him as the long-term Gunners No 1.
Fabianski was given permission by Legia to meet Wenger but the transfer terms have not yet been finalised.
Legia chiefs are trying to keep negotiations under wraps but the deal is expected to be confirmed this weekend.
They claim Fabianski was not at training on Thursday or Friday because of an injury.
Fabianski won the Polish title with Legia last season and is seen as a better prospect in his homeland than Manchester United’s Tomasz Kuszczak.
He was selected ahead of United No 2 Kuszczak for the World Cup and has four caps.
Fabianski is vying with Celtic’s Artur Boruc to be Poland’s first choice and sees a move to the Emirates as the perfect step up.
FCUK (I'm not swearing . It stands for French Connection United Kingdom which is what Arsenal have ). He will come to Arsenal.
