What! He was involved in more than half of England's goals in the World Cup and was only dropped as McLaren wanted a new start and Beckham was made a scapegoat!

he was involved in both of them?

Beckham had an awful 12 months before he was dropped. He deserved to be droppe, but he's earnt his way back in.

as soon as Crouch entered the England set-up, England reverted to route one and played like that as if they didn't believed the ball was allowed to travel across the floor. i guess it wasn't Beckham's fault that England played that way but he is too one-dimensional and Lennon would do a good job. hen again, he could flop on the biggest stage like most of the players already there

What!

England scored more than 2 goals in the World Cup.

1-0 vs Paraguay (Beckham Free Kick led to OG)
2-0 vs T and T (Beckham crossed for Crouch 1st goal)
2-2 Sweden (No goal involved Beckham)
1-0 vs Ecuador (Beckham free kick scored)

Ok, so thats half, not bad for a player who was playing awfully, eh?

Beckham can actually dribble alright, and he isn't that slow, he just plays more passes and trys to use teammates in better positions. I think if Beckham did run at defenders he could be even better but he is still a brilliant player who seems to be the only one who is proud to wear the shirt and gives 110%.

Absolutely correct, he isn't slow. Just go see him live and you'll get an idea of how fast he really is. His crossing and vision are top rate and I'm delighted he's back with England!

it was an exaggeration on how poorly they played

England were poor in the last World Cup, until we played Portugal, who were very lucky to win. I don't think they would've won without the penalties, we were creating more chances and better ones. A fully fit Rooney would've scored at least two goals.

Jerusaleum should be the national anthem.

Yep, or 'Land of Hope and Glory'. Both are songs to stir the blood! I've always found 'God Save The Queen' a touch....insipid.

this overlooking the fact that rooney hasn't scored a competitive international goal for god knows how long?

That's because Mc Donut keeps playing him on the bloody wing! He is not a winger! He is a link-up striker whose best position is just behind the main striker. When he played there in Euro 2004 I doubt you had many complaints?

not every game and when he has been played out of position he's played with Crouch and he needs pace not some massive donkey
