Fifa World Cup 2006 - The England Story (FWC2006)

Got this on rent today.

Decent game, enthrwaling when playing.

They need to work on the through ball and passing systems though imo.

Gradually going up through the difficult levels, I'll go to the 3rd one next as I beat Brazil 4-0 on the second one up.

mate this is a top shelf story. absolutely stunning. i am so close to going out and buying this game just to make my own story thread after reading this (a top thread like this and the world cup on 24/7 is making it very hard to resist). thats how good this is though!!! great presentation wonderful graphics. youve got the lot mate keep up the great work!!!

The story is better than the game imo :D

I went back to playing PES, the speed difference, FIFA is lethargic!

great thread so far mate...but why haven't you posted the match???it's a great story mate so don't let it die out...

Sorry about all this but I've been very busy and unable to play, I will post the Sweden game up ASAP.

First-Half Report

England rest an important few, Beckham already on a yellow card replaced by Hargreaves, Carragher and Campbell start in defence.

2nd Minute: Ibrahimovic is straight through, crosses it to Larsson but Campbell tackles up well in defence.

9th Minute: Owen plays it to Hargreaves on the right who crosses it into Crouch - he has a free header but still manages to miss!

What a sitter!

14th Minute: Lampard boots it upfield but its hit too hard, it has a chance but his clearance/shot goes just wide. Isaksson caught off guard there!

17th Minute: Sweden by far the better side as it comes to Ibrahimovic but his header is weak and poor.

20th Minute: Owen caught offside there, but he would of scored otherwise.

28th Minute: Gerrard steals the ball and has a crack but it is easily saved by Isakkson.

39th Minute: I'm afraid it's really a tale of two defences here, not a lot happening.

45th Minute: Hargreaves again puts in a great cross, this time Crouch's header is accurate but the keepers parrys it onto the post and Owen helps it on its way to a goal kick.

HALF-TIME

Well Sweden's defence has been well on top here, they'll look to frustrate England in the second-half.

Other Group B Half-Time scores:

Paraguay 1 Trinidad & Tobago 0

At this rate Sweden are out and Paraguay are through!

Second-Half Report

47th Minute: Crouch fluffs it again! He has a chance but his long legs get in the way and his final shot is blocked.

50th Minute: GOOOOOOOOALLLLLLLLLL! Owen gets the ball and provides an inch-perfect cross, Crouch makes no mistake and heads it into the top corner, 1-0!

YESSSS! Great finish from Crouch.

55th Minute: Defences back on top, England look to finish this one off.

60th Minute: Yellow Card

Unneccessary from Joe Cole and he gets a booking.

71st Minute: Ibrahimovic tries to go through but he is tackled well.

80th Minute: Owen steals the ball but his shot is well saved by Isaksson.

81st Minute: The most obscure of headers from Gerrard, it's going in by Isaksson punches it over the bar.

84th Minute: Jamie Carragher lines one up but it's easily saved.

Go on my son! Have a crack.

89th Minute: Gerrard has another go but it sails just wide, Sweden look to be down and out.

FULL-TIME

So that's it! England go through with 9 points and the result from the other game is:

Trinidad & Tobago 1 Paraguay 1

Meaning Sweden are out and Trinidad & Tobago are through! Who would of thought it! Here is the final table:

England's 9 points has had a massive effect on the rankings and odds:

They next play the runners-up of Group A which are:

Ecuador, so until then goodbye!

Good work mate. Hope Aussies get through to last 16.
