So some real surprises as once again, France get off to a losing start against Switzerland. First-timers Trinidad & Tobago hold Sweden to a draw, and Angola were the better side in their 1-1 draw with Portugal.

I moved down a level after those pre-match friendlies, but after my 4-0 thrashing I may go back up to World Class

First-Half Report

So here is England's line-up, Sven choosing to stick with the side that thrashed Paraguay:

Let's begin:

7th Minute: England have started of very well and Joe Cole has provided a perfect cross which is headed away.

13th Minute: England allowed Trinidad & Tobago too much posession down the left-hand side, but the final shot is blocked.

16th Minute: An overhit pass from Beckham and with defenders closing in on Crouch he has no option but to shoot - comfortably saved by Hislop

24th Minute: Michael Owen tries to run through the defence but when it's obvious he can't he lays it off to Beckham, Beckham provides a perfect cross but Crouch heads it agonisingly wide, should of scored!

34th Minute: Trinidad & Tobago are stealing the posession and Terry deflects Dwight Yorke's shot and it goes for a corner.

35th Minute: John beautifully controls the ball with his feet after the corner - he turns, he shoots, well saved Robinson! Another corner for Trinidad & Tobago.

John turns as he shoots.

36th Minute: Driven in and the header away hits John but this time Robinson smothers the ball into his chest.

40th Minute: As Peter Crouch has no support he decides to run it himself - he is eventually tackled but it goes for a throw-in.

41st Minute: GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLL! From the throw-in the ball is given back to Cole who crosses it in and Owen makes an accurate header to the right of the keeper.

HALF-TIME

Well Trinidad & Tobago have been the better side, but England have finished off their chances well and are favourites to go on and win this match. If so and Sweden draw with Paraguay - then England are through as winners of the group.

Second-Half Report

So England hold a slender advantage - what will they do with it?

51st Minute: England are going in strongly for these tackles but they aren't coming out with the ball - Trinidad & Tobago are backing up well.

55th Minute: GOALLLLLLLLLLLL! Bad news for England, Dwight Yorke gets through and Terry thinks he has the tackle, but Yorke steals it off him again and slots it past Robinson, 1-1!

58th Minute: As Owen gets through he is squeezed into a tight angle by the defenders and can't manage to get a brilliant shot away, Hislop saves but can't hold on to it and it goes for a corner.

59th Minute: GOALLLLLLLLLLLL! From the resulting corner, Frank Lampard heads it right into the top corner, Shaka Hislop - no chance!

65th Minute: Again England are caught out by the high ball as Wolffe gets a header in, Robinson spills it but gets it into two hands safely before Wolffe can follow-up.

68th Minute: Yellow Card

Uneccessary foul by Beckham and he gets a booking.

72nd Minute: GOALLLLLLL! Yorke again, brilliant save from Robinson off Wolffe, but Yorke gets the ball off Neville, turns and shoots with his left foot and scores.

75th Minute: Double Substitution

Beckham off, Wright-Phillips on, Crouch off, Walcott on - England are looking for pace in the attack to see how the weary-legged Trinidad & Tobagans will cope.

84th Minute: GOOOOOALLLLLLLLLLLL! Theo Walcott receives the ball and with his superior pace, out-sprints the lot and send the keeper the wrong way - what a goal from Walcott!

91st Minute: Well England are attacking the time out, but Steven Gerrard has made some battling runs and done really well today.

YES! England win, we'll have to wait on the result of the Sweden game before celebrations can start, but we are well on course for a place in the Last-16.

YESSSSSSS! England are through to the Knock-Out stages as winners of their group, with Sweden still to play.

So next up for England are Sweden, then a Round-of-16 match against the runner-up of Group A. Rooney is guaranteed a match in the FIFA World Cup and all over England the celebrations begin!
