Group A (Australia, India, Pakistan, WI)

Not necessarily.

If India beat Australia and West Indies and Australia beat Pakistan, then Australia, India, and Pakistan all will have 2 wins and 1 loss - it will come down to NRR at that point.

If India lose to Australia, then Pakistan and Australia will go through and the Pakistan-Australia game is then a dead rubber (other than to decide who gets the easier semi-final opponent I suppouse)

Don't worry Aussies are still Aussies

There is another scenario possible. If India beat Australia and West Indies and if Pakistan beat Australia, it would be the subcontinent neighbors who would go through. At the moment, the most likely scenario is Australia and Pakistan going through, as India seem low on confidence at the moment. We need something inspirational from one of our bowlers which is why I feel we would do well to make a couple of changes to our bowling and freshen it up.

India's odds aren't bright at all, but this tournament has been full of surprises so far for all games not including West Indies. Its ironic, if we beat Australia...we'll have to count on Pak also beating them if India should get in as said above...either that or NRR in case Aus beats Pak, we'll have to beat W.I. badly to win in the NRR department.

But all this is useless if Aussies thrash us tomorrow ofcourse :D

Something says we might win tomorrow. A classy innings from Sachin or a surprisingly good bowling performance from the bowlers, especially the spinners can do it for us. If we win the toss and bat first, we will have the advantage because the last two games at Centurion have been won batting first (SL vs SA and IND vs PAK).

I'm not worried about our batting at all, even if Sachin underdelivers, Gambhir/Raina/Dhoni are in super form with Dravid always there to hold the innings together when required. Damn those run outs yesterday. All Dhoni needs to figure out for this match is a decent bowling attack.

how many games have actually gone with who's expected to win.

the two windies games (and they put up more fight than could be expected) and the SAvNZ one.

the rest the underdog has won.

Count India out now. No need for any calculations.

if it rains today then it will depend on how badly india need to defeat the windies if australia beat pakistan

You have it wrong. If Australia beat Pakistan, INDIA ARE OUT! No way we can get in even if we beat West Indies. If Pakistan win, we have a chance and a good chance because we will also know what we need to do to get our NRR above Australia.
