As much as I want New Zealand to get through, it's hard to go pat Sri Lanka and South Africa.
I don't think England will be much threat because of how thy are going against Aussie so I'll go them to get last in group.

I wouldn't give us much of a shot of beating South Africa tbh. But if we get a hard deck with pace in it I'd give us a slim chance of beating Sri Lanka. Yes Malinga would be a threat but our batsmen perfer playing on hard surfaces, Guptill and Ryder should like it. Bond was bowling really well on the slow decks of Sri Lanka so I'd back him to cause some trouble in SA.

However much I would like it to be different, England have no chance. South Africa to top things with Sri Lanka and the Kiwi's battling hard. I think the Kiwis could do it as they start of quite well at this kind of thing. England....what can you say? What can you say? :)

It's going to be tight between Srilanka, New Zealand and South Africa.

As for England, they have no chance.

It's a lottery with New Zealand, not going to get my hopes up.

RSA and Sri Lanka should go through.

We might as well not bother turning up. Put us down with 3 losses and move on. I dont really want to have to watch this joke team again. They really should have left the squad selection till after the Aus series.

NZ have no chance. England probably don't on recent evidence either.

SA are known for choking so the other sides might have a chance. NZ have a good bowling attack but their batting is very brittle. They have capable players but they are so inconsistent. SL batting is coming along nicely, the bowling took a hit in the Final but the Mendis mystery will still be there for the teams in this group.

yap true, there is a slim chance of that but you never know how england would turn up.. i think its a tite call but surely SA should be a safe bat

They really should have left the squad selection till after the Aus series.

Their hands are tied really. The tournament starts 3 days after the Aus ODI's.

There should have been 5 ODI's and that would give both England and Australia to have some time in SA and perhaps have a warm-up game.

South Africa and Sri Lanka are the obvious contenders, but NZ might sneak through. Plenty of emphasis on the might, though.

Don't the Kiwi's usually start off pretty well at this kind of tournament? They seem to get through the group stages pretty often? I think they could do that again here.:)
