Group A - Bangladesh, South Africa, West Indies

yep awsome bating from gayle lets see wht afridi can do tommorow

This is the hit 'n miss kind of game where its more of you miss, I hit kind of game. If Gayle batted like this, not necessary that all the big hitters will click.

Yes. That is how I approached the Fantasy Cricket for this tournament. I really had no idea that Gayle would strike this kind of form. Although he has always been that type of person to really score big when he gets some momentum. But you shouldn't expect anything more from Gibbs, once again steps up and shows he's a fine cricketer.

Gayle was awesome. And yet this Twenty20 format leaves me a bit disappointed. It lacks the excitement and build-up of the ODI format. It's almost like watching the last 20 overs of an ODI innings without the build-up and the suspense. You almost expect batsmen to go hell for leather now right from the start and the deck is seriously stacked against the bowlers in good batting conditions.

I felt sorry for Shaun Pollock. Such a great bowler getting walloped all over the place at the twilight of his career.

I also hate this over-emphasis of "great atmosphere" and the "crowds" in Twenty20 games. Seems kind of cheap...

Yes, but there's much less chance of twists and turns in a T20. In a fifty over game, there are more chances of surprising twists than in a 20 over game.

Ya right. Somehow i fell that T-20 is just not cricket. It's just like a cheap entertainment show where bowlers are just like toys. It really lacks the spirit of cricket. No suspense.....nothing. Only making your eyes red by watching batsmen hitting big fours and sixes whereas the bowlers are sitting back and crying.

And likewise, if teams lose early wickets, the game is virtually over because there is no chance for a comeback. All batsmen have to keep throwing their bats around no matter what the situation.

Seems like the "innovators" of this game have a lot to answer for... I see this format dying a slow death in the next few years. We might see something better come out of all this though.

Amazing innings from Gayle. Brilliant! I'm glad he's the first, love watching him play. Great chase by SA too. I'm glad Smith didn't get a fracture. I really though after 2 overs or so SA were going to struggle. They did it brilliantly though. Gibbs also played well, but a bit more lucky then Gayle.

Chris, mate. You aren't going to get another ton. You're out for a quacker!

Bangla opening with a spinner, interesting considering Rasel bowled a wicket maiden :S. 11 of Razzak's over so far. Gayle gone early aswel is a big wicket.

West Indies is not making the same mistake that Aus did yesterday ;) Aus went on hitting after lossing wkts earlier and Windies just playing calm as they knew the result :p
