This is the hit 'n miss kind of game where its more of you miss, I hit kind of game. If Gayle batted like this, not necessary that all the big hitters will click.
Gayle was awesome. And yet this Twenty20 format leaves me a bit disappointed. It lacks the excitement and build-up of the ODI format. It's almost like watching the last 20 overs of an ODI innings without the build-up and the suspense. You almost expect batsmen to go hell for leather now right from the start and the deck is seriously stacked against the bowlers in good batting conditions.
I felt sorry for Shaun Pollock. Such a great bowler getting walloped all over the place at the twilight of his career.
I also hate this over-emphasis of "great atmosphere" and the "crowds" in Twenty20 games. Seems kind of cheap...
Some may view it as a ODI without the boring parts...
Yes, but there's much less chance of twists and turns in a T20. In a fifty over game, there are more chances of surprising twists than in a 20 over game.
Ya right. Somehow i fell that T-20 is just not cricket. It's just like a cheap entertainment show where bowlers are just like toys. It really lacks the spirit of cricket. No suspense.....nothing. Only making your eyes red by watching batsmen hitting big fours and sixes whereas the bowlers are sitting back and crying.
Mortazas on now, Abdur Razzak bowled the 2nd over...
