Group C - Canada, England, Kenya, New Zealand

Quite a good win from England, Kenya could have been dangerous on their day. We just needed to win, and we did it comfortably.

Great to see Joyce have a good knock, and Pietersen was always in control. And nice to see Anderson and Flintoff performed well with the ball.

I hope to god they don't play Mahmood ahead of Lewis for the Super 8.

Hats off to Pietersen, usually in that sort of situation he'd go all gun-hoe and forget about the 'team' situation. I think he's finally learning now in his 1st World Cup.

Also Jimmy bowled superbly well, was very economical and set England off nicely.

You mean Plunkett surely?

Joyce played well imo, as did KP and Jimmy bowled well. I didn't expect us to lose and it was pretty emphatic in the end.

England didn't "just won it in the end"

It was a very solid performance. Did any of u guys saw the naked guy who had to be expelled from the BCG? He was really funny, even the Irish supporter too, it was an enjoyable day at the BCG. Cheers and congrats to all my english mates and supporters on the forum, KUDOS and good luck and all the best in the Super 8's. Im tanned from this blazing sun:))

I felt that Pietersen has matured after the 05 Natwest series. He values his wicket and his team much more nowadays, although the same can't be said about Flintoff who still tries to slog it even though the team is 6 wickets down and only 150 on the board.

But that's Freddie for you. He's never been a good enough number 6 for test cricket, just about good enough for ODI cricket. His bowling however is on a par with just about anyone in world cricket. If he was coming in at 7 as almost a specialist bowler who can bat a bit (a lot better than a bit I know) then he is unrivalled in world cricket.

Good win from England. Ensures that Pakistan and India will be the only big-time casualties of the tournament.

I couldn't care if they drafted Geoffrey Boycott in as their opening bowler, just don't play Mahmood.

And yes, I meant Plunkett.
