Heyy Babyy- Mildly entertaining but for the most part, poor acting, ridiculous plot, and largely non-existent comedy. I also hate when there is a lot of English in Hindi movies because the weird Indian accents make what scriptwriters think are funny dialogues, corny. I suppose there's a good song ('Mast Kalandar') that somewhat salvages this movie, but that's about it.
Mirch- India has a population of 1.2 billion and I honestly don't think there is a worse actor in the whole country than Arunoday Singh. Honestly, I think I might have done a better job. Apart from him, the movie was just retarded. 4 short stories that were each more appalling than the previous one, and atrocious songs. One of the worst movies I have ever seen.
Luck By Chance- One of the most underrated movies I have seen. Powerful performances by Konkona Sen Sharma (not only is she good looking, she acts well) and Farhan Akthar. I love that his rise to fame was not overplayed and didn't have a huge peak and a giant fall. It was subtle, and the changes were represented by the actors, rather than the plot, which is a testament to them. Isha Sharvani was annoying and I hated all the scenes without her. If it wasn't for her, I would have really loved this movie. All in all though, a very good film that provides a very good commentary on the life of struggling and thriving Bollywood actors and the cut-throat and very corrupt industry they work- or strive to work- in.
The ending was also pleasingly un-Bollywood in that they don't end up together. My review of this movie hinged on that, and I was not let down because for them to get back together would have been unrealistic.
Main, Meri Patni, Aur Woh- Decent flick. Nothing special. The plot is simple and predictable, as is the conclusion of the story. It has been done a million times over.
Guy with girl out of his league underestimates himself, when in fact the girl doesn't care about his looks, they break up when he can't figure out why they are together because they are so unequal, they get back together.
Slightly formulaic in that sense. It's not bad, but it's not great.
Saw "Special Chhabbis", Helluva movie guys!! I enjoyed it thoroughly though I was right in guessing the twist at the end.... Superb story, direction and acting....
This is one awesome kick-ass trailer! Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani
After a long time, the old vintage rom-com entertainer is back, and its co-incidently produced by Karan Johar. Love the Ranbir-Deepika chemistry! Though, it looks like the two are acting as if they broke up. Its hard to believe two ex's still igniting this amount of chemistry! If they are really this mature, they would be among the biggest role models for future generations. Or was their initial offscreen love really that serious?
The fact that Yash Raj, Dharma Productions and some other production houses make Bollywood (Indian) films and then block it for the viewers of India when they upload it on youtube. Surprising, isn't it?

Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola- Reminded me a little of Delhi 6 with the whole 'Mao' thing. This film isn't deep enough to be a political commentary, and isn't romantic enough to be a love story. Overall, a predictable storyline, but Pankaj Kapur's acting was superb. He carried this film and delivered an award-worthy performance. Imran and Anushka were also good, but it wasn't their best performance. Shabana Azmi and Arya Babbar were annoying and their dialogue was corny. I felt this movie had a good platform to comment on corrupt politicians, but didn't go far enough with it. Still, it's well paced, well acted, and is a decent movie overall.
Student of the Year- Excellent visuals. The entire movie looked great, from the cast, to the costumes, to the sets. Acting was good from the newcomers, especially the two male leads. Rishi Kapoor also provided some comic relief. The story itself was nothing special and the whole competition was kind of stupid, but I think this movie might be a guilty pleasure of mine...
