How are you doing in your career?

What did you choose for your career player?

Very few bowlers get near 95/150 on a regular basis in real life, should be a very specialised attribute.

Yeah, a bit like those PES's player cards. That could shape a personality very well.

Speaking of Player Cards - is there something like a career card album? Perhaps showing you at the end of each year with the stats/top performances.

Except for the occasional 14 year old kid who posts their bowling speed on the internet, they can hit 120mph on a good day.

You will have to build up to 95mph bowlers, trust me you don't want those coming at you until you have skilled up a bit. :)

Also not until we have been used to playing it for a while I guess. Having first person view I believe its like reacting real time? Or did you tone down the speed?

If its same as real world, I believe regular cricket players would find it easier to adapt to it?
Also if we are based on instinct then we would surely play as how we play in real life. It would be hard to imitate others, which would make the game a lot personal.

I am talking from a bowling perspective (i-e starting career as a bowler/allrounder) I mean there shouldnt be an option to start as a geniune quickie @16 , It will be great if your max speed is around 75-80mph when you start and then you work up to potential 95mph i-e if you skill up your pace. BTW there has to be some sort of random element on skill leveling alongside performance.

...I've often wondered whats on the BACK of the player-cards. I imagine that's the place for stats and such things. Good thinking... Ross?

Just went through the post.
My goodness. So many attributes considered. That must have been a lot of programming and the bug testing team must have gone crazy.

Thank you for giving us a career mode thats so exciting. ;)

Quick question Bigant, you can watch pivotal points of a match, you said this so my question what kind. Like a highlights say the 4 and 6,near misses and wickets up to when we bat. Thanks.

For Career we follow the major match types played of 4 Day, 40 Over, 20 Over and for Internationals 5 day, 50 over and 20 over. Within Comps, tours, online and Casual mode you will be able to design your own match types, something you may get a sneak peak of in an upcoming Cricket Academy update (ask Ross ;) ).

Since nobody seems to have picked this up, I am going to do the honours.

@Ross: Are we getting the tournament editor in the next release of CA?

There's a debate in the office about this as it's not actually "useful" - you can't share it, all it does is show you the Tournament side of the game and the related structures, so you could set up Tournaments but of course not play them.

If people want that then I can get the code copied across to the Cricket Academy and tested. We will have a lot of people who are not on here, or don't read threads :p, asking questions about "why can't I play the Tournament I just set up", "how do I share Tournaments", etc..

It would be like being led around Harrod's food hall after having your stomach removed.

Maybe.... I've got big plans for those cards ;)

Don't do it if it adds to your effort without adding value to the final product. Better way would be to share information about the tourneys you can create (tourney creator) the same you did with the career mode.

I see ALL your questions.... :p

will there be a leader board for each difficulty or just on overall leader board because if someone is on a lower difficulty it is obviously a massive advantage ?

also if you quit halfway through you don't get to restart the match or anything do you ? or you cant restart your innings?

if you change difficulty aswell what leader board will you be on if you change up or change down?
