Which player in a squad does your career player replace? How is it determined?

Wouldn't it be the worst player that's in one of your positions. For example say your a middle order Australian batsmen you would probably replace who ever is at 4 (right now it's Marsh). It might not be like that but Big Ant seems pretty savvy so I'd assume that's how they do it.

I meant art the beginning of the game in your county/state squad. Who does your player replace? It's it like for like positionally, worst helmet rated player, random or do you choose?

Can anyone from Big Ant shed any light?

You don't start at a county/state level. There's 5 levels so I'm pretty sure Ross said the 5 levels would consist of:
1. 3rd Grade
2. 2nd Grade
3. 1st Grade
4. Sate/County
5. International

You may be asking something else and I'm not getting you, but I assume your Grade teams are randomly generated so it won't matter who you replace. @The_Pharoah I hope that's what happens if your an Aussie quick or an Indian batsmen that's not quite there I do hope you just stay playing domestic cricket. It will be funny for the people who are the DBC equivalent of Phil Hughes and despite top socring in domestic cricket don't ever get an international run.

All right then thanks for that:D. I'll stop talking BS and annoying people. What did Ross mean then when he said there will be 5 levels to go up?

Something like this perhaps?

There's lots of levels you need to climb before you can reach your ultimate goal of becoming national team test captian. This includes makin it to domestic T20, ODI and Test teams, then national T20, ODI and Test teams. And at each of these levels, there are different stages, from having no chance of being picked, to becoming a fringe player, to a regular member, to core team member.

Geez it seems the more I talk the more thick and simple I sound :facepalm but I have one last question to ask (lets hope it hasn't been discussed at length yet). Is the aim more to dominate all forms off the game or do you focus on just one? I assume you have the option to try and dominate all forms but is the mode geared ore towards specialising? People might not be able to answer this as we don't have enough information yet but I may as well ask seeing as I right now I'm at the 10yo level of annoying troll :(

Mine wasn't a sarcastic reply to you :) Didn't know the exact answer but I was just guessing whether that quote is what the levels are, in Career mode.

I don't think you can be a specialist and play/get picked in just one format of the game. Again, that's just a guess on my side.

Pheww, I've finally. managed to ask a half intelligent question. I'm averaging about 1 every 27 tonight. Thanks for that Pat. I'm hoping you can specialise, In my career I'm going to solve the Australian test middle order dillema. Finally.

I dont see why we would need to dedicate ourselves to one format of the game

Mitchell Johnson dominating all formats

AB DeVilliers dominating all formats

MS Dhoni dominating all formats

and soon to be Me dominating all formats!!

I think if you do better in 1 format than the other you might get labelled that in the game, maybe you might not have the patience to block out most balls in a 4 day state game, but during the Big Bash you strike at a rate of 200, hence the game will pick you for t20's and One dayers, yet getting to that test team will just never happen for ya

I think the goal is to captain your international side in test matches

But its going to be easier to make the T20 and ODI sides, which from my belief is at about level 3-4

so in answer to your question, im pretty sure you cant make the test side without playing OSDI and T20 internationals first

so no, you cant be 1 specialist player if you want to achieve the ultimate goal

but hey, i could be very, very wrong!!

Mate, I was also hoping this was the case but somewhere along the lines (of some weeks ago), I'm sure it got clarified that we only start at State level and it was emphasized by BA that this is the first version of the career mode so it won't have all the bells and whistles that we all want. I certainly was hoping to start at 2nd or 3rd grade and to work my way up from there (kinda like starting in 2nd Div of the EPL, etc) but thats probably for DB15.
