How are you going in International Cricket 2010?

Haven't played it in close to 2 weeks now, can't even find the motivation to start my story. MLB the Show is just too good

Same here, online would keep my interest going but only if it gets patched to hard difficulty, and we all know that isn't going to happen.

If they fix the online I'll play for sure.

No disconnect and hard difficulty would turn this from a dud into a fantastic game online

yeah thats a good one!!
AI Batsmans stats upped to max on hard is the only way i can play this game. But as stated, there is nothing to offer as far as offline goes that will keep you entertained for months.
I have an idear for IC2011 if i can share? Feel free to make comments.
Ide like to see some umpire editing available. Perhaps have 7 or 8 umpires available and you can choose what ones you want in your match. They could have stats so the higher they are the better, thus giving better desisions. They could be edited too so we could have real life umpires. Im just as bored with these three new umpires as i was with the last three after 2 or 3 matches!! Just an idear.

I guess the lack of comments is a kind way of saying that idear sucks then?! :crying

Its sad to see but a lot of people are getting bored of ic2010 now. Me im not bored of it but im slowing down on it. Look i think its a good cricket game offline and if they fix the online side of the game then maybe it will last a month or 2 more. In the end its a lot more solid game than ashes but to much alike. maybe also codemasters release it to early and at the wrong time. I think if they release the game for the world cup with a few long play tests then the game would have been bigger. In the end its good to have a solid cricket game for once but we have a long way to go.ps lets hope ea sports enters the ring and we have 2 solid games to pick from.:D:noway

Im not going to be suprised in the slightest if there is a "new improved game" released around ashes or world cup time. which at the end of the day will just be a patched IC2010. Just like IC2010 is a patched AC09 but with action cam and power stick!!
More effort needs putting into fielding and editing. Needs weather too. And GOOD comentary for once. And i wouldnt mind actually NOT seeing the ball swing in places like india and bangladesh. And NO 90 deg turn from a spinner on day 1 wouldnt go a miss either. And............. God the list just keeps going on!
Nice idear about E.A. But that just aint gonna happen. (cant see it anyway) If it does, then i would imagine they will cash in on the IPL franchise, and make a game based around that.
But there are other game companies. What about rockstar?! They made a table tennis game after all!!!

hahahahhaha, rockstar makes a cricket game now thats funny. If they do that then we can have trickstar do gta5 hahahah. I remember rockstars making that gta open world starwars game for me. But you are right, codemasters will release a new game in the next year. Im not a 100% on that but i hope trickstar have more time to work on the game next time. To say something good about trickstar and ic2010, they did a solid job on this game and i hope codemasters:D stick with them.ps if trickstar is looking on pc in the near future, i think its time to say want there plans are for ic2010, i a patch or a update for the ashes soon. Because most people are getting bored and looking else where. Maybe trine and ea sports will do something in the near future.:spy

Online disconnections just sneak up on you out of nowhere. You think you're gunna be able to play a full match but out of nowhere you hit a shot and it disconnects. But I beat Shravi via D/L method though :p.

Hahhaaa, went on here for the first time in a while, as i have finally faultered and bought another codemaster's "update" and the first thing I find is Australia's literacy police!!!! Talk about the game, not people's spelling or punctuation or lack of. Save that for teacher's or potential employer's.
Would you like to proof-read my post captain??? It's all your's son...

I think we have a very good cricket game here; imperfect certainly, but very good fun to play between two humans in a room or even against a much improved AI.

I have done what I do with these games when they are editable: upped the stats for opponents and designed (in this case 8) teams. Old England, Old Oz, Old WI, Old Asia, Old World (SA, NZ, Zim, Ken. . .), New World (current) and my own team (with me, Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix, Sigi Freud etc.).
It is possible to design players like Michael Holding et al with maximum bowling or batting stats and you have a game that is a real challenge and real fun. Playing a Customised Tournament with these teams my last two games (Hard, mini hud, broadcast view) were tremendous.

Chasing 315 in a 50 over match, I needed 15 off the final four with no wickets in hand to win by one wicket with two balls remaining.

The last game saw me chasing 341 and I needed 15 off the last three with one wicket remaining again and 2 tailenders (one of them minimal batting stats). The last over I wanted 5 to win, then the scores were level facing the last ball. I pushed it in to the covers and set off and watched W.G.Grace pick it up and hit the stumps to leave me a yard short and a tied game. Superb!

As cricket afficianados we will always want more, but for heaven's sake, don't let that blind us to what we have already got.
