How are you going in International Cricket 2010?

Been playing on normal since I've struggled with the batting...But I've just taken a test match hat-trick. Time to move up? :help

If you have been playing with full hud I would go minimal hud first and then go to hard. Or even no hud. It makes it a lot trickier, although bowling no-hud is an art in itself to get right. I bat no hud but bowl minimal hud.....

i am going to try something really really difficult. Bat for all 5 days of a test match on hard with minimul hud. wish me luck.

Just started a test match, codemasters 11 vs pakistan.

Won the toss, chose to bat
23-1 (5.0)

Gayle 8*
Avey 15*
Smith 0

Smith nicked up 2nd ball and since then
I'm batting causiously. Only reason I'm on 23 is because Anderson bowled short with no leg side cover so pulled him for 4 twice. More updates soon as I'm typing on an iPod touch and it's hard!

Gayle

You only seem to post the starts, how about tellign us the results of your Tests?

Anyways I just finished a Test that went into the last session on Day 3, furthest I have taken a Test so far, if the AI had not collapsed in the 1st innings I might have lost a crushing defeat.

Have you increased batting stat's for the AI? After bowling out SA for under 200 in both innings on normal, I have moved up to hard and increased timing, judgement and placement for the top 6 batsmen. SA are currently 242 for 3, I'm having to work hard for wickets, but enjoying it immensely and just got Smith out on 143.
I was initially disappointed with the game but am really getting into it now. A few tweaks and new features for the next edition and we may well have the game we have all been waiting so long for.....

Took my first catch today! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! :banana2

I have started a 3 match test series in england vs the windies.
Just finished the 1st match. For the people that know what to look at you'll notice a man of the match perfomance from mr.Broad! ;)

AC09 would show the trajectory of the ball for 1's, 2's and 3's apart from boundaries. IC10 shows the runs as straight lines as opposed to the ball's trajectory, it works fine with boundaries and sixes.

I hope they get it right, in the next version.

How did you get the A.I to bat so slowly. Anyone but the number one and two seems intent on playing at run-a0ball pace against me then getting out cheaply, enem mow I've moved up to hard

Well i find that too if you bowl to many in the dark green. If you get it dead right with timing. then its not so bad. I dont tend to worry about field settings as even a really wide of off stump ball is sent to the square leg boundry with a simple flick of the rist. You really have to have excellent timing with your spinners too or they'll be very expensive i find.
But all in all the AI batting is prob about 1 run per over to much for test cricket. What i liked about the windies 1st innings was the openers lasting 446 deliveries. If you let the better players get set then you really pay for it. Just over 60 overs i bowled before taking a wicket. Never had anything like that in any other cricket game.

446, thats quality. I tend to hit the light green more often than not. Currently in a game with ENG vs RSA. Just got to lunch having been put in the field I have RSA 115/3. A.Petersen on 44 from 85, which is reasonable pace, and A.B. De Villiers on 34 from 37. He seems to be attacking everything though

Lol! Have had the embarrassment of Australia declaring their innings against me! 578 for 6: one R Ponting 278!!!!:laugh

Dear oh dear! Bowled 137 overs!!!:facepalm:p I made 272 in my first innings so I have a massive mountain to climb. Only hope is to bat two days! (:sarcasm)

Sounds decent! Ide love to have a situation like that. I thought i was going to have a big total to chase against the windies but they bottled it with 181 and i only needed 114 with 2 days to get it. Really enjoyed broads 102 off 104 too. Am looking forward to second test, but with eng v pak test starting tomorow it's gonna be hard to fit it in.
That 1st test was at cardiff by the way with mild/cloudy/strong wind conditions.

Just had a peek on EA sports site to see if they had any news on a return to the cricket game market. "there were NO results with the word cricket in any search" :noway :crying
Its more sad to me though that they have a fitness game series, and that NFL is thought of more in this country than cricket!
