How are you going in International Cricket 2010?

Have you tried moving the bowling cursor at the last second? Just very slight movements but with this method I have found that you can bowl in area's that you usually wouldn't be able to without getting tonked

Exactly...its as if the AI "knows" what you are goig to do if you leave the pointer too long on one spot. I edge closer to where I want be as I run in, moving the cursor all the time until release point.

Has anyone had a runout in a test match yet. I am glad that the ai runout bug is fixed but the odd silly runout is just like the real think.ps i have had only 1 runout so far in the game and that was in a t20 game.

Good point! I have never had a run out, only when I have simmed an innings. The AI running is conservative to say the least and they don't take any risks. In a way it is good because it keeps the frenetic run-rate down but tight situations would be nice...it just adds to my view that the whole fielding system needs a thorough work-through to make it exciting and fresh.

It seems like it needs tweaking up a touch, very often the batsmen go back when they are already halfway down the pitch and my fielder hasn't even picked up the ball, and then they dive into the crease, again before the ball has been picked up. Still its far better than the shambles of AC09.
The only runout that has happened was a bit bug-like though, Chanderpaul decided to go for a delayed run just as the ball was heading towards the stumps. It was one of those CPU auto throws as opposed to a manual one, so I'm hoping that it isn't something that's coded into the game!!

True, the fielding part is so behind batting and bowling. maybe for the next one if there is they can try something new. Maybe a manual fielding or both. The ai need a lot of work still, its a lot better than ashes but no where near perfect.ps the runout i did have on that t20 game was a funny one. The ai hit the ball to the cover and he miss fielded it a little and the ai ran, then a direct hit my that fielder. I have had a couple more to but the ai got back easy. Thats form any miss field from anywhere. Its still rare but there. I just hope like the rest of pc that trickstar improve the game a little for the ashes and aus release.:noway

Ive had 1 run-out in a test on hard. Morgan direct hit run out sarwan. Ive run myself out plenty though!! :facepalm
It is good to have the run out problem sorted, but as said before, it would be nice to have a few close calls. But i'de keep it how it is now before going back to anything like the AC09 run out situation. Seems that the main thing most people would like to see worked on is the fielding. I second that too. Im a big fan of the catching method for diving to stop balls at the boundry. The circle on the fielders hand to determin wether it hits the rope or not. Also being able to place a fielder in "ANY" position you want would be good. I dont think the game even knows silly point exists.

Guys, I need serious help on test match batting. I keep getting skittled for less than 200. How do you guys build partnerships??

Been having quite a lot of fun playing with my flatmates against the computer. Surprising how many wickets they get from crap balls!

Well all i do is leave anything wide and play alot of defensive shots at first. Its suicide attacking a fast bowler before your "set". It doesnt always work though. Best ive had is strauss and cook 151 before i lost my first wicket. On AC09 i had that same pair 225 for my first wicket. But just simply dont worry about the run rate. Just take your time and only play for runs when your confident to do so or you'll be punished. Its deff easier to start hitting about in T20 or ODI's. My trouble is i have a really good partnership with the openers then i sort of tend to always have a mini collapse. I give more wickets away than the AI takes off me.

Does any have a file they could upload with just all the GM kit unlocked?? Thats all i'm after =D If you could I would be much appreciative :)

Edit: I am doing the right thing to unlock them? I'm playing 25 over Champions Trophy's as england. That would unlock me all the GM bats and the GM gloves yes?

Guess so!! I was never to worried about unlocking everything. No point going to all that trouble giving the players their actual bats and pads when they still look nothing like them! I would have done otherwise.

Neither am I, I just like GM kit so this is the only kit i'll unlock, I wanna have:

Bat: Icon DXM
Pads: Original LE (got them)
Gloves: Original LE
Keeping gloves: Original LE
Keeping Pads: Original LE

I am a wicket-keeper batsmen if you haven't guessed :)

BTW watson. Im in the 3rd test of the 3 match series against the windies. And had the best bowling session ive had on this game. On hard with min hud after 30 overs these were my figures.
Anderson 12 - 4 - 18 - 0
Broad 11 - 4 - 17 - 2
Bresnan 6 - 1 - 23 - 0

Was happy with that. And thats off a fully batting stated Gayle/smith/simmons/chanderpaul. :happy
Simmons gone for a golden duck!! :banana2
My windies team is:
C.Gayle (c)
D.Smith
L.Simmonds
S.Chanderpaul
R.Sarwan
D.Bravo
D.Ramdin (wk)
D.Sammy
S.Benn
R.Rampaul

No Kemar Roach?? I thought he was one of the windies best bowlers....
Yeah, true enough, but remember on this game it doesnt really matter. The AI will do what it wants regardless!! Here's a perfect example......
Had the perfect Dr.Jekyll and Mr hyde momment in my 3rd test today.
The first session was perfect. I had 9 maidens, and they scored only 73 off some really good line and length bowling and i took 2 well deserved wickets. And then comes the "mr.hyde momment". Afternoon session: Bowl well again in much the same manor, taking 2 early wickets for just another 14 runs. Then..........................POW! On comes Bravo and they end up getting another 126 runs in the session with just 1 wicket going down. Every cutter, every swann delivery, and every slow ball dispached to the boundry. No matter how acurate i was. If ide have never played this game before this match, after the first session i would have said how perfect the test match game has been made after AC09. But then after the afternoon session i would have just said in many ways this game was worse than AC09. I know you'll always have bad game momments, but if you'de have seen how they took their runs you'de know what im saying. Yorkers hit for 6!! :facepalm Balls pitched full length slightly wide of off stump being hooked and pulled for 4's. Raising the bat playing defensive and the ball going through the covers for 4. Jesus i was livid!! lol
