Oops my bad, yes we did play against them in Semi's. For some reason I thought we played Pakistan in Quarter Finals.

So suck it up, you lost to West Indies and were hammered, blame that match more then that rained off match. Also its absolutely insulting for NZ team for others to say they do not deserve it. If Pakistan wanted it so badly to be in final 4, they should have atleast shown some effort and willingness in the Bangladesh game. Yes they won that match but batting first they showed no whatsoever intent. So suck it up, hope for a better team next WC which will be in India as you will have a better chance. Also instead of blaming things on weather and other factors, try qualifying for semi's on your own strength and do not expect other teams to do you a favor. I don't think there's any problem in the pitch but it's the defensive approach of the Kiwis. Credits to India for making them play defensively.

I remember India beating them in 2011 CWC semi final although I agree with the fact that blaming the weather and NRR won't help Pakistan cricket going forward. They had their chances, beating England was their big victory but defeating NZ shouldn't be a task if they themselves count them as a weak team.

I said my bad in a post above yours, I thought we played Pakistan in Quarters and not Semi's. Anyways, if you felt this is a rant imagine the NZ fans out there listening to this nonsense about how they dont deserve to be in Semi's. So yes I did make a mistake thinking Pakistan did not qualify for semi's since 1999 which they clearly did in 2011, but saying NZ does not deserve and Pakistan does is just next level bs.

If only this match was Pakistan vs India, New Zealand are going to post a low total, they struggling against this bowling attack.

That is why I felt we should play both our leg-spinners if not then Kuldeep in place of Chahal. Don't know why we kept out Shami.

Having two spinners who both turn the ball away from the right handers as their standard delivery isn’t the brightest of ideas. A mistake to have Yuzi play today IMO.
