CDG’s dismissal is a game changer here! :cheers

Even weather is helping India here :D[DOUBLEPOST=1562677418][/DOUBLEPOST]Just for fact

If the match doesn't restart and we have a wash-out tomorrow India goes through to the Final without even beating New Zealand :spy

Who beat the hosts defending an average total. Couldn't say anything unless the matches are being played. Could've or should've shouldn't come in to question in what can't be changed.[DOUBLEPOST=1562676610][/DOUBLEPOST]Review saves Ross Taylor. :spy
Well, theoratically at least

For some reason our fielding which was our strength became a weakness today and in the past few matches. Many missed chances, misfielding, overthrows. We have to fix this going forward.

Just for the sake of saying it, India won the Semi-final in 1983 playing at Manchester. Seems pretty much like Pakistan fans drawing comparisons to 1992 WC :lol

I think India went with the extra batsmen seeing the conditions and pitch. And so far, both Jadeja and Bhuvi have been excellent with the ball. 1-34 in 10, is awesome returns for Jaddu.

Also seeing the pitch, Bhuvi’s slower pace is actually working. Shami would’ve given more pace, which in this pitch won’t be ideal.

Wonder how India will approach this if target is revised. We’ve the batting resources to chase what is asked from us (from here on). To me, MSD the batsman is going to be mighty crucial on this pitch and I’m saying it in a positive way (fingers crossed)

I don't think MS would be needed. If Rohit gets going, then he might go for the kill.

Trust me - MSD will most likely be needed for this. Not an easy pitch for Rohit to go for the kill. If you see, Rohit’s ordinary scores in this tournament cane on sluggish pitches. Both our openers are guys who need pace on the ball.

To me, Kohli will likely do better than Rohit, on this pitch. Again my assessment!

So if it does not stop raining for another 1 hour 15 minutes, no overs would be lost. If we loose overs, India's DLS score looks like 237 in 46 overs. Will be a tricky chase for sure.

Does anyone else feel that the coverage of this game has been lopsided as hell? This isn't a one-sided contest at all so far, given the conditions. Yet, all commentators keep saying that NZ has batted way too slowly, etc. NZ have kept themselves in the hunt here and all it takes to tilt this in their favor is just 2 new ball wickets. I hope we do not get back on today at all and rather have to bat on a less gloomy day than this. A curtailed chase would mean Dhoni becomes a liability yet again with the bat (a 6 rpo req RR).

I have never understood that logic. They have literally made 211 in 46 overs, why are we chasing 21 runs more? If they are giving us a target of 237 in 50 overs, I can understand but why are you increasing the target when you have their score in the exact same position.

Indian fans must be praying that all this rain makes it easier for the ball to come onto the bat and make it easier for batting on this dry/sluggish pitch. If we are set 237 in 46 overs or thereabouts and it is as tough to bat as NZ found it out to be, then we are definitely in for a big challenge.

If NZ stops here and now, they would've got a big advantage of not having to face Bumrah's final 2 overs. On current form, any team in the world would receive a big advantage of not having to face Bumrah at the death. How much it will hurt India has to be seen. Hope NZ can come out to bat and face up to Bumrah.

I just feel it is because of how deep India is bating today. I mean all NZ had to was to attack one of Jadeja or Pandya and they didn't attack either of them. Of course it's not going to be easy at all for Indian batsmen especially if it is seaming around initially. We all saw how India crumbled when the ball was moving earlier this year in NZ and that was the only match we lost in that series. Same thing happened in the practice game when we won the toss and choose to bat on a pitch with something in it for bowlers. Also considering how difficult it has been for the chasing sides in this WC so far. India will need to play really well if the game starts to win it.
