If it resumes by 18:35 local time it would be a 20 over match with India needing 148 to win off 20 overs. Pretty unfair at current situation :(

There’s a prediction of another rain spell to resume in 20 minutes though. Will probably be shifted to tomorrow.

Edit - it’ll just be a light spell. But it might be enough to postpone the game owing to a wet outfield. :D

One thing that might happen is the officials deciding to go in with the match today, but it rains during the first few overs and so the game gets postponed to tomorrow. In that case, we would still be chasing the drastically altered DLS target despite having an entire day’s worth of play tomorrow. :rolleyes

Thats bizzare

In that case, better we dont resume today at all :D

And here it comes. :D

The Cricinfo says that we have a poor forecast for tomorrow but Google says it won't rain tomorrow but would still be cloudy.

Just got home from long days work and hearing rain has saved India today?

I dont know how this is advantage India as is being claimed by cricinfo etc.

We would have preferred a full game today to chase down 250 odd (which is what NZ was going to get). Now, with overcast conditions and a possible damp wicket, big change in conditions tomorrow - Boult could be lethal

Its officially postponed to tomorrow with a full game in prospect. Much better than chasing a 20-over score today. Also the toss advantage (if even there was any) is neutralized because the team that will be batting second in this match, will actually be batting in the morning tomorrow (normally the time when a team will be batting first).

What all this rain and clouds does to the wicket, the outfield is up for debate. One thing for sure - this rain has robbed all the excitement that was there before it started. Right now, it feels like we just want to get done with it.

Shortened game in prospect tomorrow.

Just saw a screen capture on Twitter of the no of runs Jadeja saved today. 19 runs were saved by him today? Add to that his figures of 1-34 in 10 overs. Wow has he been brilliant or what!!! So much for 'bits and pieces' :p

Shortened game in prospect tomorrow.

If it stays true to the forecast predicted as of now, the rain should not arrive until evening which should give them enough time to squeeze out the rest of the game.

One should ponder is this good for the game? A semi-final is going to be abandoned due to rain and decision will be made on league stage position. Regardless, even if the match continues tomorrow it won't be fair for either side. In a way that this World Cup is going too much towards luck and its quite unfortunate. You wait for 4 years for the World glory and little did you know that your results will be decided due to rain and rain.

This Justin Langer fellow.. he was a great great test cricketer and I'm going to go out on a limb and say that he will end up as one of the greatest coaches of all time. Just a top top bloke!

This tournament has sucked the energy out of the game in some ways. I don`t know why but I feel we are in for a shocking day tomorrow, with a damp wicket and seaming conditions.
