Australia literally beat the hell out of the World XI (The World still is not enough)

well yes, but remember the world eleven do not hold the quality of an england side ;)

aussies are better than the rest of the world. take that!

i can't wait for those lousy poms to come to australia for a good old fashion beating! good bye reverse swing! good bye harmison's form! good bye flintoff over the boundary like in these ODIs! good bye ashes england!

I remember JarryD saying something along those lines before the Ashes.

The word 'pom' Oh i love it when they use that word, just shows they don't know what it means. :D

Shoaib cut from World XI

World XI squad: Graeme Smith (South Africa, captain), Virender Sehwag (India), Rahul Dravid (India), Brian Lara (West Indies), Jacques Kallis (South Africa), Andrew Flintoff (England), Shaun Pollock (South Africa), Mark Boucher (South Africa), Steve Harmison (England), Muttiah Muralitharan (Sri Lanka), Daniel Vettori (New Zealand), Inzamam-ul-Haq (Pakistan)

And the Aus side. As expected MacGill and Watson starting.

Australian team: Matthew Hayden, Justin Langer, Ricky Ponting (captain), Michael Clarke, Simon Katich, Shane Watson, Adam Gilchrist (vice-captain), Shane Warne, Brett Lee, Glenn McGrath, Stuart MacGill. 12th man: Brad Hodge.

Hodge > Katich.

At least in English conditions anyway, upside down he might not be too good. :D

i disagree .
katich better than hodge .
Katich can also play spin far better than hodge.
having seen kat in the subcontinent..i think he can make it to the final xi.

The World XI are going to suffer again !!! Only Harmison and Flintoff can produce something otherwise on those pitches these spinners and medium pacers wont be a problem for Australia !!! They will win I think !!!

Think long and hard about what you have said. Have you researched the SCG pitch? Do you realise it is a 6 day game? These are the reasons the Australian selectors will consider to field Stuart MacGill along side Shane Warne. At the very least, the two spinners selected are two of the most enduring players in the game today and wont be worn down easily.

If anything, the quicks are most likely to get carted.
