ICC World T20 Bangladesh 2014

Could it be .. Raina at no.4 experiment making way for Raina at no.3 experiment ?

Is the India-SL match being telecast ? If someone is watching, can they share why Dilshan has scored only 6 runs from 16 balls ?

Surely our bowling cant be that amazing !

It is on on Sky Sports 2 if it is available for you. The pitch does seem to have something for the fast bowlers even now so yes it did favor the Indian bowlers earlier in the day but credit to the way they bowled. Btw, current RR for India is 3.47. :p

He has been good at no.3 in CSK.
Also, if India are 2 down very early like in today's match, Kohli at no.4 will be important.
Still, it's just an experiment. Hope this works...

Malinga is such a massive asset in close games and death. Fires in those Yorkers at will

Few positives for India - Heartening to see Ashwin getting wickets
Raina and UV seem to be finding form
Hope UV gets to bowl in the next warmup

Yes there are some positives.

Good to see Ashwin regain his form in bowling and of course his boundaries. he was better than Binny
I would have liked Dhoni to come at XI and win this for India :(

Still credit to Srilanka. Oh Malinga, you beauty!

Bowlers bowled well for 18 overs but did absolute rubbish in the last 2 overs. Our openers need to go from ball one in this format. This is not a Test or 50 overs where you can see of the new ball. If we are including Rahane in the line-up, he has to open the batting because it becomes harder for him to clear the boundary in the middle order because he is not a hitter. It was good to see Raina and UV bat well. So second opener is the only position that is in question now and it is going to be between Rahane or Rohit.

That's correct.
Team should try this out in their next warm match itself.
Also, Dhoni must try out Mohit Sharma next match.

In that case, going by the track record, Rohit will be the pick for the team. He is the favored child. And unfortunately, Rahane got out for a duck today making his case weaker

Yeah I commented on the game a few pages back :)

I knew the opening pair for the Irish would be key, if Zimbabwe got them out cheaply (which never looked likely) then the result possibly would have been different. What a finish to the match though.

Well todays performance of India lacked willingness. Yes few looked good but others looked tired. Dhoni was like ... meh.. what the hell kind of attitude. Its just warmup and nothing to blame but I hope Indians are more active on the field when matches begin. Although first match is against Pakistan which means activness at highest plus I am sure it will be in their mind that losing to Pakistan twice wont do a greater good back home.

Dhawan has got to go and our chances in T20 WC this year depends a lot on him. Rohit is just not interested in having a fired start. Gone are the days when Indian openers were feared by oppositions. Just hope Dhawan fires and we can let Rohit do what he does best that is FAIL cause inspite of his failures he isnt gona get dropped.

Just hope Raina and Yuvi perform good, they both are the backbone in Indian middle order. Still remember semi final against Australia and what a partnership they had. I just dont trust Binny Rahane in the middle order. Rahane is just not perfect in middle order as he is not a power hitter. Plus the shit he wants to do to increase power is just not necessary that is practice hitting baseball kind of.

Just saw the highlights of Nepal v/s HK game. Nepal seems to have a good chunk of very passionate fans who have travelled to BD. Always great to see loud support for Associates.

and Shakti Gauchan is freaking awesome. Love the way he celebrates his wickets :D So much unabashed joy

Or ''Bruce Lee'' as Danny Morrison referred to him as. His celebration was quality though.

This is kind of a random thought but why is Sangakkara and Jaywawardene retiring from T20 Internationals even news? I mean they could miss the next year of T20s by saying they are resting and no one would really even notice.

Just realised that Van Beek is in the Netherlands team which is pretty cool, wonder how he qualified though?
