Saw the game - NZ just choked big time, and the pitch was certainly not a rank turner. It was assisting spin and Herath was just mind blowing. He kept hitting the same line and length and bowling a different delivery every ball. The Kiwis just couldnt read him or did not put in enough effort to stay put like Williamson (who was brilliant).

Herath was just fab and had one of the best nights of his career.

The pitches haven't been great lets be honest, rank turners don't provide for terribly exciting T20 cricket.

depends on what you think is exciting watching a batsman plonk and hoick every ball or a batsman struggling to get that one good hit every over, often scores of 120-160 are always tricky and provide more exciting matches than 180-200 belters and that was by no means a rank turner, just very poor application from NZ batsman, all they had to do was be there with kane.

Damn those last 3 overs ... when it is not your day, even the best spinner in the world, in your side, is hit for 24 runs in an over. Pakistan bowled so well for 17 overs, and could have lost the match in the 18th, 19th and 20th overs. 59 runs scored in last three for the loss of 1 wicket, (82 in the last 5 overs). The variances of T20 Cricket at its best !!

Way to go guys! 21, 24 and 14 in the last 3 gave us what was unthinkable at the end of 15 overs. We almost doubled the score in the last 5 overs. That is why Sammy is so very crucial for the team in the shorter formats. That said, WI needs to think about the brand of cricket they played for the first 15 overs. You cannot get a flying finish every time.

That inswinging left arm delivery to LBW batsman ... remember when Irfan Pathan could bowl that at will. Remember Youhana and Inzi regulalry being trapped by him.
