India in England/Ireland/Scotland

Broad, Anderson and Bell were good but don't be fooled about England 'turning a corner', they played OK. Cook should have gone for next to nothing when he was dropped by RP in a chance that I could have taken and England stole 30-40 runs against some of the worst fielding...ever...by anyone. They had a few very cheap runs against the confused bowler that is Munaf Patel. Not only that but Dravid made a blunder of the toss...again.

Is it our fault your fielding is poor? No. You can only play against what you are put up against, and we are playing well.

Many would argue that he is not the best captain that India have. Sourav Ganguly's agressive captaincy was incredibly popular and still to this day is.

Ganguly is an arse. He's lazy, he's not committed and he loves himself. How could you want that as captain?

No, it is not 'your' fault that India's fielding is bad, but I do not see too much of an improvement from the side who played the West Indies except from Anderson, Broad and Bell.

The West Indian fielding was worse and they didn't have any spinners yet they still managed to beat us. This time last year we'd be 3-0 down, but we find ourselves 2-1 up. There is clearly a marked improvement.

Why is he not captain, did he step down?

Briefly: Ganguly campaigned to get Chappell as coach. Chappell rewards him by dropping him and in doing so, Ganguly lost the captaincy.

Their fielding was not worse than India's.

England are much improved. A lot of it is down to Peter Moores and Allan Donald. They are really working well with the players, and making them play much more agressively.

Believe me it was. Stop being blinded by your own negativity towards your own team.

I am not being blinded. You are starting to annoy me now with your generalisations. I am not your typical blind Indian fan, but the fielding today and in the series was not good by India. I counted over ten 2s that England should not have gotten due to India's lazyness in the field and poor throws. West Indies can throw well, India cannot.

I am not aware of Moores' effect since I don't know what he does exactly, but Donald should be proud of what he has done with the bowlers.

there was a big flaw in the umpiring, collingwood should have been out on 14, then he went onto make a further 30, india lost by 42. and then yuvraj singh would not have been that desperate to get the single and would not have been run out.

to me in this tour the umpiring has been dreadful and cost bith teams dear at times.....

30.4 Yuvraj Singh to Collingwood, no run, Collingwood sweeps again and misses! The ball pitches on the stumps, straightens and hits the pad. That is very, very close and somehow Mark Benson thinks it's not out. Collingwood very lucky to get away with that

Please, just quit while your ahead. We've had this umpire debate a million times already.

As much as it pains me to say this...Evo is right. The umpire is not biased! It was India's fault that they lost, noone else's.
