I really can't stop laughing at how pathetic India's bowling attack is at the moment.
2 part time spinners bowling the last 2 overs is an absolute joke. Unbelievable.
Shah getting a hundred against India is shameful enough. He's handy, but they shouldn't have had a problem with a player like that. They totally ruined 4 early wickets. Credit to Wright, I think he;s got some talent. 10 times what Shah has. I''d rather have seen him go on for 100.
I can't wait for some of these lower order batsmen to come back down to earth with the Bonds, Lees and Akhtars bowling at the death. Won't be so easy for them then.
Sort your bowling out India. I'll say it again, 2 part timers in the last 2 overs is a disgrace. Haha pathetic.
Great pitch though, should be a great chase with the talented India batsmen. The bowlers didn't make it any easier. England look almost as understocked but I highly doubt they will have part timers bowling at the death because of the experianced front liners incompetence.
ps (Excluse Zaheer and Chawla from this, they were excellent. Powar was ok. Agarkar should be forever sacked, he;s terrible. Ganguly should have bowled out earlier, Tendulkar bowling 1 over was absurd and Yuvraj bowling at leg stump opens up the slog hits, why would you bowl there? Bowl outside off. And besides him at the death is a joke)
Sorry for the long post. I turned my computer on especially because I just can't get over 2 part timers bowling the last 2 overs. Dravid should be sacked just for that.
I start this post with a reference to Agarkar.
He is a guy who has been there for the past decade.
Neither has he won us many games nor has he been able to establish a spot in a side but still he continues to be in the squad, year after year.
We all know that he can have an odd good game or an odd good series but we have all come to know that if it happens, it is an aberration.
When it comes to younger bowlers like Munaf and Sreesanth, we drop them after a poor performance or two but when it comes to Agarkar, he has been persisted for way too long.
He has been atrocious in this series and surely has to be dropped for a decent period (hopefully forever) now.
Just look at how Zaheer is now putting in consistently world-class efforts which is making Agarkar look all the more horrific.
I`d rather go back to Irfan because I know that he`s more likely to improve than Agarkar who has`nt shown that in his career.
The pitch might be great but I have stopped expecting miracles from this side.
Had this been the target in an ODI in the 2002-2003 series, most of us would have said that India have a fair chance of making a fist of the target but now it seems very distant as we struggle to chase even 220ish scores.
Plus, Indian batsmen always fail when they are faced by a must-win game situation .
