India in England Jun-Sept 2014

I completely forgot that we have Pandey in the test squad. I would pick him anyday over Ishant if you need a guy with height who can hit the deck and extract bounce. And Pandey is CSK! It would help India if Pandey is played due to his CSK connection.

Ishant continues to be profligate in this tour game too. The guy never ever learns. And Zaheer is asking Ishant to lead the bowling attack!:facepalm Hope Dhoni gets some sense, and does not pick Ishant. Anyone in Ishant's place would be better for India. If Ishant is picked, I too would rather not watch this series.

While Ishant has been doling out shit in these matches, we have to keep in mind none of Bhuvi, Shami, Ishwar and Pankaj have experience bowling with the Duke, so Ishant will be vital when it comes to experience. We saw that he could lead this young bunch of pacers in the New Zealand tour. I am no advocate of Ishant, just saying not picking him may also lead to bad consequences.

A very interesting article http://www.espncricinfo.com/england-v-india-2014/content/story/756629.html

It looks like Jadeja is going to stay in the team as the sole spinner instead of Ashwin from the warm up matches. Ashwin has bowled only 7 overs in this game and 5 overs in the previous game. Jadeja has bowled more than him in both the matches. Also it would be absolutely rubbish from Dhoni if he still picks Ishant Sharma for the first test. He hasn't shown any improvement and he is still struggling with no-balls in this game as well. I don't know how you can be so bad even after playing so many test matches.

After another lol-worthy performance in the field today, I'm finding it tough to believe that we're going to be able to put up much of a fight during this tour. Ajit Agarkar and the gang have a video up on cricinfo and I can't help but agree with his assessment that this Indian team lacks both the talent and the knowledge required to win in England.

India might as well not play this series. Seeing Dhoni in the bowlers list for this game, gives me the nightmarish memories of him bowling in that first test in England in 2011 when Zaheer got injured.

Prayer on the lips for India and the team.

Did a 17 year old keeper just score a 50? Now the Indian bowling is officially crap. Pankaj Singh seems the only decent one for the overseas conditions.

I dont have any words for Dhoni. Why is he bowling .. I mean wtf ..

The only two players with proper experience in English conditions are proving to be absolute disasters so far - Dhoni and Ishant. There was a lot of talk about learning from previous tours. The warm ups so far are not really backing that up. One can only pray for some dramatic change when the real match starts

Who is this team that can't bowl out a Derbyshire Second XI? Shouldn't be playing test cricket, I tell ya ;)

We should learn a lot from Srilanka... Their bowling is not less shit than us, but still they know how to win.

This has got to be the funniest build up to a Test series in a long time, shame England don't have any warm-up matches to play.

I love this competition between Indian and English fans: "We're shit!" "We're more shit!" "We have no hope!" "We shouldn't even be *playing* Tests!"

tweaking glorious.
