India in England Jun-Sept 2014

So the mods have banned one of the few people keeping the cricket chat forum going? Nice one.

I don't know about him, but I sure did :). Why :)

I was at a footy match (Sheffield United at Preston), so I didn't get to see it. I was just wondering what happened? The match report wasn't much use![DOUBLEPOST=1409484461][/DOUBLEPOST]

Who has been banned?

We generally don't appreciate people directing homophobic slurs and other insulting language at other members. I don't give a damn how active you are in what forum, but as soon as you stoop to the level of using some of the most offensive words that you can to another member just so you can have the last word in a debate or argument, you should have a little break from the forums. Its not a permanent ban, don't worry (although possibly lengthened by the admins since they can and generally do that to people who use multiple accounts to get around infractions); but I think that it is a fair one.

This is the last that I will say of it and I would like the thread to move on :)

Moving on,England announced their T20 squad.Bresnan,Ravi Bopara and James Taylor returns with Jason Roy getting his maiden call.

So the one who incites always goes without repercussion, i mean did that untouchable007 complain or what? I don't support what ever slurs or offensive marks whichever were used by poker X, but come on you ban the guys who are provoked and the one who provokes walks Scott free, i mean this has become a common occurrence here.

The worst outcome of all this is those who provoke will continue to do so, have fun doing it and become squatters of PC and get the better of others often and this will continue to put PC as a sort unfriendly forum to new members and drive them away, i thought at-least this section of PC was a bit better than that but seems the same.

England team to find a girlfriend for Suresh Raina ? :spy

After being startled by losing to India in the second one-day match, English captain Alastair Cook said in a press conference that his team had been instructed to watch Hindi movies to come up with a girlfriend for Suresh Raina.

The strategy is that there is no strategy. We didn’t need a strategy to win against the performance of team India under overseas conditions,” Cook clarified.

“We were made to appear like a legendary team automatically. It was India who played that way. Nothing needed to be done. But one innings from Suresh Raina has opened our eyes. We tried the short ball but it didn’t work against him. We realized that we are an ordinary bowling attack, and our strategies won’t work unless Indian batsmen had girlfriends,” he explained.

The ECB spokesperson spoke to the media and declared that practice sessions for the England team had been called off, and the movie tickets would be funded by the board. Showing a proactive approach, the board said that a spreadsheet with the names of Bollywood actresses with ordinary acting skills had already been created, and the tickets had been booked in advance.

The spokesperson also announced that the ECB has decided to sponsor all future tours of the girlfriends and wives of Indian batsmen visiting England.

“It is disturbing to see the BCCI put a ‘ban’ on tagging along girlfriends and limiting the time wives spent on foreign tours. Our team sees this as very unsporting, especially because this is the only thing that helped English cricket in decades. The board has decided to fund their stay and travel costs. It also would be bearing all expenses related to acquiring a girlfriend in case an Indian cricketer did not have one yet,” he confirmed.

Reacting to the ECB’s decision, Indian skipper MS Dhoni clarified that Fletcher, and not his wife, was the ‘boss’. He fled when asked to comment on the performance of Virat Kohli and his preparations for the world cup.

Meanwhile, Ravi Shastri as the new director has written a letter to the ECB asking if the decision of the board included him as well.

Yeah I agree. I think once Eng win the WC I think they will realise what they have been missing out on. I think just like regaining the Ashes gave Eng such a big boost, I am sure that winning the WC, would give Eng an even bigger push.

I do so hate to rumble on, but in my lifetime we have never won a soccer world cup, yet the sense of anticipation and excitement is always there. The WC and ashes happen next year, and its only the ashes that has me excited. Maybe if we beat Austrailia in the final of a WC it would come close.

You seem like a decent chap based on your posts, but come on! If someone can't take a bit of provocation on a forum without being offensive, I'd suggest they find another outlet for discussions. Might I suggest writing letters? No one reads them anymore so no-one can get offended.[DOUBLEPOST=1409576831][/DOUBLEPOST]

When oh when will he be given his chance! If Cook would go away so Root could open, we'd have a spot for him!

everybody gets provoked, there is only a line or limit for it, anybody new will fall easily into traps of repeat provokers encouraged on the forum, also my point if you notice is not to go easy on anybody but just go hard on everybody involved.

Anybody who pushes another person should also be punished along with the one who got pushed and retaliated;)

So the 4th ODI would start today.Hope India would win this one, just because it would give a chance for them to try youngsters next game.

ya would be nice to give samson a go, also think with mohit having injury issue in last game yadvav should be getting a go today.

Yes, Dhawal Kulkarni gets in ahead of Yadav. We should retire our fast bowlers. Firstly, its a thankless job on our pitches and secondly our captain and team management prefer bowlers not to be quick.

On paper Kulkarni is a better bowler than yadav for limited overs economically, also he can hit 140s, still a bummer wanted to see yadav in action ,hopefully gets a game in the next one. last i remember of yadav was destroying Aus in a warmup game before champions trophy but didn't perform well after that also leaks runs, hope he has improved.
