Holy moly cow.... I have to leave for work in 10 mins, but I am not leaving until its over. This is exhilarating stuff. Why is England gifting us wickets like this?

It's good bowling, but it's mindless batting more than anything else.

Infinite fielders out for the hook, so every single short ball gets a hook/pull shot played. Just get out of the way.

It's high risk/low reward shot selection. Time it well you're still picking someone out for one run. miscue it and you're out nearly every time.

Root played about 3 pulls into the ground for no run in the 2-3 overs before getting out.

This is all too common with England whereby someone will get out and promptly be followed by one or two more. Our middle order outside Ali just doesn't exist.

For me, at least 3 players are not required in Southampton. Cook, Prior and Bell.

I`m still not convinced that we have it in the bag. Broad has usually been very successful against us and this short ball theory is now getting very predictable. Another 25-30 runs from this partnership and India will be worried again.

Take the new ball! Why is Dhoni so allergic to the new ball? One thing you can ill afford against the tail is predictability. The short ball did work against the top order but no need to start getting predictable. If anything, you have to be fuller against Plunkett.

Reminder that England just got bounced out by India. I don't care if they manage to fluke a win from here, that's unacceptable. Why even pick Stokes if he can't score any runs while Jordan averaged 23 from the first two tests? As much as I like Prior, it looks like he's past it now and Buttler needs to come in: Cook needs to actually score some runs in the Championship or somewhere. Problem is that opens up the question of who should be captain, and the logical answer of Bell would be dumb since he's also not scoring any runs...

Prior isn't passed it he just isn't fit.

Buttler isn't ready. His keeping at lancs is being criticised a bit. Sri Lanka was the time to throw Buttler in. If he performed well ride him a little into this series, if he didn't Prior had more rest etc
