India in England Jun-Sept 2014

Ishant has bowled absolutely brilliantly throughout this test match. Even though he was struggling before this over, he still gave his everything in this over again to get a wicket for his team. I know Bhuvi has performed well but Ishant is my man of the match.

For me, at least 3 players are not required in Southampton. Cook, Prior and Bell.

Would you class Plunkers as middle order?

I'd say he is borderline.

For the test in Southampton, which for some unknown reason starts on a Sunday, I'd drop Cook, Bell, Prior, Stokes and one of Broad or Anderson. I don't expect Cook, Broad or Anderson to be dropped though.

I cannot understand the tactics by modern day captains. You have No.10 and N0.11 at the crease and they automatically start treating the No.10 like a specialist batsman.

Have to agree. Adam Lyth has been scoring bags of runs up here in Yorkshire, but I'd personally like to see Alex Hales open with Robson. Not convinced with Robson, but deserves a chance.

Can't drop Jimmy, but Broad has been awful. You can't just hope he gets on "one of those spells".

Nah, its just the Indians acknowledging that these are England's two best batsmen

I don't think he's bowled brilliantly. He's done well, and worked his socks off so deserves his wickets, but England have gifted at least 5 wickets this innings.

A+ in the pessimism awards, potential MOTM candidate here.

When you have had your team failing to defend 450+ with the opposition 150/4 and then not closing out a game 250 ahead and the opposition at 95/5 recently, you cannot fault me for being pessimistic.

England collapses;

3-15 in the first innings today and 4-19 in the second innings.

3-5 in the first innings at Trent Bridge.

Basically, in the first two test matches England have lost in their collapses 10-39.

Even with the short stuff working. I want the final wicket to be a full delivery ripping out the stumps.

Ishant Sharma bowling beautifully, had his fair share of doubters before this match but his skipper kept faith in his big strike bowler and it has certainly paid off...India on fire ! :clap

Some pessimism kicking in here. Hope these two are not allowed to stick around for long. Dhoni at some point might have to think of the new ball.

For me, Jadeja taking the wicket of Anderson would be the ideal way to finish off this test.

Also has anyone been following Akash Chopra on Twitter? I mean every single thing that man has said since the start of this test has come true. He said we will win this test when we were 145 for 7 on the first day.

This match is over. Plunkett and Anderson together don't have the ability to get 100 runs.

That just about sums England up.
