India Team Discussion

What a farce! Anyways, who cares by now. Once the likes of Dhoni and Yuvraj say goodbye, a lot of fans will lose the passion to be completely behind this team.

With the current fiasco Shashtri and Moody are the best possible option with former most likely to become the head coach as he have the backing of not only Kohli but also other team members as well and we have the likes of Simmons and Rajput will be made to look like absolutely muppets.

BCCI now issues a press clarification that Shastri has not yet been appointed and that the latest reports about him becoming the India coach is false.

Team india new coach: No decision on new Team India coach yet, says BCCI - Times of India

Thar is what the link which I provided suggests.

But the new link that I've posted above, is saying that the old link (that was posted by you) is false news. And I now see in TOI website that the article that you posted, has been removed from the front page (earlier, it was the highlight news)

Hey, you haven't clicked the link right? Open it and see it for yourself. The link title is wrong but after clicking the link will take you to the 'No decisions on new coach yet' article.

Well I think Moody or the other overseas coaches will not be selected. The CAC seem reluctant to pick an overseas coach so the coach will most likely be Shastri because he can maintain a good relationship with the captain himself.

BCCI confirms Ravi Shastri as the head coach, but throws a superb googly by naming Zaheer Khan as bowling coach
Shastri, Zaheer, Dravid in India's new coaching team | Cricket | ESPN Cricinfo

Very well done CAC! And also Dravid will be the batting consultant on overseas tours. Basically by having Dravid take care of batsmen (overseas tours) and Zaheer take care of the bowlers, Shastri will most likely be merely a manager. I think I am starting to like this arrangement. But will this mean Zaheer does not play IPL from hereon (since he cannot be India bowling coach and Delhi Daredevils captain at same time)?

India might miss a spin consultant, but with the next WC in England and with Zaheer as bowling coach, we will focus on the right ae
