India Team Discussion

I am guessing, the crowd in India does and ill be good practice for the world cup next year I guess

But yeah, not the biggest fan of bilateral T20s.

^ Lol, well I did explain how IPL is different from a pointless bilateral series. Also to be fair of all the T20 leagues around the world, IPL is probably the most meaningful of them all, however a bilateral t20I series, just stop it.

India A squad for tri-series: Unmukt Chand (capt), Mayank Agarwal, Manish Pandey, Karun Nair, Kedar Jadhav, Sanju Samson, Axar Patel, Parvez Rasool, Karn Sharma, Dhawal Kulkarni, Sandeep Sharma, Rush Kalaria, Mandeep Singh, Gurkeerat Singh Mann, Rishi Dhawan.

India A squad for unofficial Tests: Ambati Rayudu (capt), Karun Nair, Abhinav Mukund, Ankush Bains, Shreyas Iyer, Baba Aparajith, Vijay Shankar, Jayant Yadav, Axar Patel, Karn Sharma, Abhimanyu Mithun, Shardul Thakur, Ishwar Pandey, Sheldon Jackson, Jiwanjot Singh.

Chand to lead India A in tri-series, Rayudu against South Africa A | Cricket | ESPN Cricinfo

Well good selection I should say.Hope they could perform.

Well I hope they can because we have just lost the unofficial test series against Australia. It is also ridiculous to see that we have again lost major wickets against Steve O'Keefe who is a left arm spinner. It is like our players are suddenly struggling against spinners.

So I just got to know that Gurinder Sandhu also bowled off-spinners and we lost wickets to him as well.

Remembers me of how Indians lost too many wickets to Moeen Ali in the past England tour.Lack of good quality spinners in India might be the reason.

But these guys are not even quality spinners. I mean Steve O'Keefe is a regular spinner but losing 14 wickets to Gurinder Sandhu's off spin? That bloke is a fast bowler for god's sake. It's like they feel the need to hit the spinners out of the park every ball even though they are giving you enough bad balls to pounce on them. Really really surprising result.

i agree its ridiculous

going on dancing reality TV shows is something that retired English players do and no one should copy them!!!!!

Sreesanth first now Irfan. Why is Indian bowlers getting interested in dancing all of a sudden?

Well if there was a crowning like one of the beauty pageants for the 'most talented idiot,' India would win it hands down if Sreesanth represented us. Sometimes, some characters are misunderstood but he is completely and utterly got only himself to blame. I genuinely believe that he is either dumb or there is some sort of situation with him psychologically. Just look at the number of people and the kind of people that have backed him, encouraged him and while they haven't tried to remove the fire from his belly and destroy his original character, he never could mould himself into some sort of sanity. Frankly, after his spot fixing saga, I'm pretty happy to never see him on a cricket field again. Plus, he can actually shake a leg.

As far as Irfan Pathan is concerned, while Chappell gave him a true study of mistaken identity, Pathan seems to be spoilt with all the money he has made. I truly believe, that the IPL has made a lot of stars, it has it's place in cricket but some of the cash doled out to certain individuals make you cringe. It's not about being jealous, it's about worth. Just look at the numbers the Pathans, the DK's and even a Dinda get for what they offer. Yuvi has been over paid too, but, you can't weigh in money what he did for the country in WC cricket. When you are motivated by something like money and passion isn't the stimulus to you being on the field, there will be several better than you. Just look at Pakistan for instance. You can take a broom and wipe out their quicks and sit under a tree and about 9-10 international quality will fall off. Why? It's because they're hungry.

Of course, there are cricketers that play for the nation, even a franchise. They take pride in their own performance and just can't bare the hurt that comes with a loss. But, there's no denying that for some, when money becomes easy, the foot comes off the pedal. Pathan, seems to be that case. I was a big fan of his and I would have rather he would have to quit cricket due to some sort of injury and then do all this. Instead, he's 30, supposed to be in his prime and fighting tooth and nail to play for India.

I dont see whats the big deal. Pathan is clearly past his due date as an international cricketer. How is this any worse or better than doing advertisements for money on the side ?
